Dixon dissapointing AGAIN!

How many chances does this guy get? He has been dissapointing all year and now is the time for HIM to go to Box Hill for a few games. Before any of you say we will need his experience when finals come, you are all kidding yourselves. I don't even think we will make the top eight and after a few performances, not just today, we don't even deserve to be there this year. Get rid of dicko.

I love Dicko, but needs to go to Box Hill and earn his spot back I believe. I know he is a leader, but you also see Hodgey directing the forwards around when he is up there and with Boyle on the sidelines lets hope he can help order the boys around.

Dixon can go back to Box Hill and bring Thorp or Boyle in.

Rubbish. The entry in the forward line was absolute crud - it'd be hard enough for someone like Coleman to kick a bag with our disposal let alone Dicko.

Countless times he presented himself only for the ball to either go over his head or over the sideline.

Agree Phil! No one can pay out our fowards today! The delivery gives the fowards the oppurtunity, and we didnt have good delivery!

Why though? If he isnt kicking goals like he once did he is pretty much a trainer on the field? I rather have a runner sitting in the fifty and instructing them and giving Thorp or Dowler a go.

With out youth policy, Dixon is a liability on our list and now he must go. He is not the future of this club and rarely have I ever seen him break into a sweat or anything more than a foxtrot on the field in our jumper. Get out now Dixon and allow a talented youth a regular game.

Dixon you are a disgrace and in years to come YOU WILL REGRET taking your natural ability for granted and not putting in the hard work to become the genuine star you could have been.

Extremely tough call on Holland. His dodgy shoulders held our forward line together for nearly a decade. I agree that it is time for Dixon to be retired though.

What utter bullshit. Dixon has been a servant of the club for over 13 years. Despite his supposed "lack of effort", Dixon is a top 10 goal kicker for the club. While his form is down at the moment, that post is a cowardly, unjust attack on a loyal, serviceable Hawk.

While Dixon has been down on form, I still believe he is a better player than Thorp or Dowler, and therefore deserves a spot. The team as a whole is down on form, but that doesn't change the fact that we are still 4th on the ladder. Now is not the time to "blood young players" for the sake of it, we still need to have a real crack at finals footy.

I honestly think Dixon is finished- the game is past him.
He continues to present and puts all the effort in, its just his dodgy knee restricts him.

Nick Holland was rated just below Carey for 4 - 5 years.
He was among the leading contested marks during that time.

It was only his dodgy shoulders that ruined his last 3 years.

Even accounting for poor delivery, he was useless today.
A forward line missing Buddy, Boyle, Willo and Thorp was crying out for a seasoned, strong-bodied player to do something.

He was nowhere to be found...again.

love Dicko but hasn't shown much this year. Age has caught up with his injury- prone body methinks.
Unfortunately a delisting/ forced retirement at years end is looking the most likely scenario.

He has been awful all year and he can take Young,Ladson and Smith with him.Young is soft and pushed around easily as is Ladson and Youngs goal kicking is awful.People here bagged Lonie but atleast he kicked well for goal and he is no softer than Young and Ladson.Smith gets confused everytime he gets the ball and confuses the whole team when he has got it.The team as a whole needs to harden up or we are in deep shit.And how much do we f*ck around with the ball.I would hate too be a forward in this side.

Needs to do a lot more. Ok, the delivery may be ordinary coming in but he doesn't seem to work as hard as he used to keep the ball in or force a turnover. I don't see him getting the 1st, 2nd or 3rd defender so what's the problem Dicko? I look at Corey Jones and I see a similar type of player except one is hungry for it and the other appears as those it is all too hard....

And he wasnt dropped after the 0 posession game! He was our 2nd forward today, most experienced by far, did nothing. Bye.
