Dixon supports current board

Interesting to see Brian Dixon after wooing Gutnick across when the merger was taking place has jumped ship and is supporting the current board without Gutnick.
I am starting to feel the tide is turning and Mr Gutnick will have a fight on his hands.

No what happened was when the merger was proposed Dixon was against it so he intorduced a "white knight" in Joseph Gutnick to fight the merger. When Joseph was elected president it was presumed Dixon would get a spot on his board, but Gutnick said no, thaks for your help and away he went. Dixon was not very impressed and now does not want him as President.

YOU HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG DEES01!!!

Firstly Brian was on the interim board.
Secondly because of the perceived impression the remaining board members (and club members) had of Brian, Joe AND Brian agreed he should not stand for the permanent Board...(his drinking habits...his personality...etc. etc.)
Thirdly, yes he was disappointed, but he agreed to this for the sake of the club.,
Lastly, he was upset about it..because he wasn't accepted by many (uncluding members) and yes he was willing to wait until the end 0f the years till he decided to do re the board nomination.

I don't know what he intentions are now...why don;t you wait until he voices his opinion on this.??

This club will never be as one.......because of the different social classes in memberships.

Cheers.

He did, at the Hall Of Fame function on Saturday night.

I take it that is a swipe at me.

Dees01

DEFINATELY NOT a swipe at YOU...what I meant was we have some very distinct social class groups at the Dees amongst supporters and generally the club never seems to be to gell as one. (Its quite hard to explain what I really mean, but there is a big difference in supporters at Melb. Dees to what I am used to at the Storm where EVERYONE MIXES together as one, including Coach, players, supporters, refs., etc.

Regarding Brian Dixon, I worked with him during the merger times and quite frankly he left me bewildered at times!!

Dees 01 did you attend the Hall of Fame...I have heard contradicting reports on what certain people said, e.g. Ian Ridley.

I guess Brian Dixon will reveal all soon!!

Perhaps because there are not so many people who follow the Storm. That is not having a go at them by the way. All teams have supporters from different backgrounds. No doubt this is your less distinctive way to attack MCC Members.

Were you highly involved during the merger debate??

I wish I did. I found out through a few articles in the newspaper.
