Do Brisbane need a priority pick?

Don't try and justify it. Your club cheated, theirs didn't. There's no comparison.
theyre still self inflicted actions though, so using that as a reason for no draft pick is BS. As for cheating, from what the AFL have said to date they dont believe Essendon set out to cheat so are clearly happy for them to keep draft pick no1

lol the afl have repeatedly shown they have a lack of balls. right up till wada doing what should have been done 3 years ago.
i dare say not clearly happy but again lack of balls to do anything.
maybe they should do what they did when a decision about other teams top up players needed to be made and poll the other clubs n see if ess "deserves" pick 1
whether the AFL have balls is irrelevant, we were still punished harshly. We'll get the number 1 pick if we finish last, just like other teams have in the past

You might (not) like to review the 2007 draft.

Richmond last on ladder
Carlton (Priority) Pick 1

Richmond also received a priority pick, at the end of the first round

They need a new coach coaching panel and re ruining staff.. absolute debacle but I know how they feel they need Thier own "reset" a proper one. Not trade for people like Beams when you are 10 years from competing lol

Brisbane's poor choice in trades, draft picks and coaching staff is also self inflicted
Most clubs who finish at the bottom of the ladder can blame poor management. otherwise they wouldn't be at the bottom of the ladder. The exception is where clubs are hindered by the systems of the VFL. For example, the system is such that clubs in non-AFL states such as NSW and Qld have difficulty in retaining recruits.

No they don't.

How do you know Brisbane are ten years from competing? No team needs their whole squad to be made up of under 21 year olds.

Then they couldn't have drafted Cripps instead
Aish was Brisbane's only earlier pick
I wasn't talking about in that specific draft. My point was Brisbane drafts players who made it clear in this case they didn't want to leave Melbourne and then left after their intial contract was up. Maybe they should be smarter in those situations and draft kids who are happy to leave their home state

Will people please stop referring to Brisbane in this thread, it's obviously about how poorly Essendon have been treated and should not be derailed any further!
