Do Carlton need to undertake a list rebuild?

we need to tear it down and rebuild the lot. These “leaders” and senior players are the furthest thing from it. I’d personally start by auctioning off weitering to the highest bidder.

We are a basket case.
What's genuinely frustrating is we can match it with anyone in first halves and then it all goes to water and it's not clear why. Jekyll and Hyde type stuff and I think that's what makes it even more frustrating. For opposition supporters it's would be fun and fair play.
As a long time supporter it's pretty draining.

The club has already started a mini-reset of sorts.

Trading Curnow was an admission that the list wasn't going to contend and there are gaping holes that need to be addressed - mainly in our midfield.

Vossy is still coaching for his job, so short term we will be cycling through senior players but we need to be blooding guys who are performing well in the VFL. Preferencing Saad over Wilson in this weeks match typifies this.

I hope we're actively looking at players who will give us a different look without breaking the bank.

We need to look at a better long term ruck to replace Pittonet. I don't think Hudson O'Keefe is it and Reidy has been pretty meh.

2026 has become a holding year for Carlton, they’ll need to make a tough call at the end of the season

1. Try recruit some names and aim for a bounce with new coach
OR
2. New coach and cut deep, start year one of rebuild

Either way, big changes needed from mid season bye onwards, current list looks to have topped out

Carlton need to rebuild their entire club, starting at the top. There are too many old boys running the club who love to drink their own bathwater, and it looks like nothing is going to change as they all seem to think Graham Wright is the messiah.

All signs point to Wright being another Malthouse type appointment, not only the Collingwood connection but the fact both were well past their use by date by the time Carlton managed to get them. Do people forget that Carlton tried to poach Wright from Hawthorn in the mid 2010s when he was General Manager of Football at the Hawks?

Not sold on Graham wright at all.

He’s recruited a bunch of mature age role players and kept Voss in his first offseason. Looking like 2 mistakes right there
