When I said shit the bed that includes hiring Hinkley.Carlton will be fine in a couple years if they don't shit the bed. 2 x father/sons last year 2 more this year coming, a top 3 pick last year and another 2 x top 10 coming this year. A couple years and they'll be coming strong unless they panic.
They have a few to move on though, I reckon I could find 15 to delist but no point doing it unless you can find better.
Who's worse than Hinkley bearing in mind that Mark Neeld got the job over Hinkley at Melbourne.Carlton could do much worse
Some half decent small forwards would certainly help with thatTheir playing style is well suited to finals when it's congested and often cold weather footy.
However, it's so taxing that they can barely make it to the finals.
Something's gotta give.

When you're 14th on the ladder, and in free-fall, there isn't much to spruik

How many Carlton players have performed in the top 100 in the competition in 2025?So it's ur opinion that Carlton only have 3 good players?
Walshy you tipped the Blues to finish top 2 but they're 14th and shot to piecesSo it's ur opinion that Carlton only have 3 good players?

So which players at Carlton do you consider "good players" Fadge? How many Carlton players have performed in the top 100 in the competition in 2025?
3 is probably a stretch.
Blues had the easiest fixture I've ever seen. If they played at the level we saw for most of 2024 top 4 should have been an easily achievable.Walshy you tipped the Blues to finish top 2 but they're 14th and shot to pieces
How many good players do you think you've got?![]()
Remember that high quality and deep list they were telling us about in the off season, when 19 of their players were in a combined best 22 with Collingwood? How many good players do you think you've got?![]()
Blues had a similarly easy fixture in 2024, and won 13 games...Blues had the easiest fixture I've ever seen. If they played at the level we saw for most of 2024 top 4 should have been an easily achievable.
But the Blues have had a mare of a season for many different reasons and thus they sit in 14th.
Doesn't mean we don't have any good players though.
Which "most of 2024" was that? Does that include the last ten or so games when you couldn't beat a top 15 side? You've carried that form into this year, it's not an outlierBlues had the easiest fixture I've ever seen. Anyone with any ambition is looking to leave asap
Blues are 🗑 and need a full rebuild
Not really answering the question... How many good players do you think are on Carlton's list?Remember that high quality and deep list they were telling us about in the off season, when 19 of their players were in a combined best 22 with Collingwood?
