Hard to say, tigers fans were rubbing our hands together when we scored Taranto and Hopper when at the time our midfield appeared to be the big issue, but if you don’t have the cattle around the rest of the ground one or two players in won’t cover the loss of experience and talent

I know McRae singled out the fwds after last nights game but were they that bad compared to their last 20-30 games?
Membrey ave less than 1.5 at the g. He kicked 1.1.
Shultz kicked 2, Steele kicked 2 where Mihochek probably would’ve kicked those.
Mcreary 1.1, that’s on par.
Is it Degoey and Mcstay?
Mcstay played his 200th was bloody ordinary but it’s uncommon he’s not and Degoey had a game that was pretty common last year.

Can't single handedly carry a team to success though.
It's all getting harder for Collingwood's old list while other clubs are getting better.
Teams like Suns and Dogs multiple orders of magnitude better than Collingwood right now, and their forward lines are at least three times better.

I think they've realised their contending phase is over. Buller and West (who hopefully gets his chance soon) is a look to the future. They need to hit the draft hard the next few years though to address some list gaps. Finishing around 7th-10th would be the worst of both worlds for them.

Geelong hit a critical crossroads in 2015, that was really only saved with Dangerfield. Take him out and they'd probably have missed finals the next few years while accepting a need to focus on the top end of the draft.

That's the reality Collingwood face over the next few years.

Body was shot, couldnt iffer 3 years IIRC. Good luck to him, hope he has an AA year but I can see why the club didn't want to take a punt.

We've drafted and traded in 3 or 4 in the last 2 years, but no high picks, we are hoping for Buller or West to blossom.

Given we got Mihocek cheaply you can see why we rolled the dice.
