come on dave fire up a bit!If the right decision was made, as you say it was, why would they change the rules?

you're forgetting a couple of important factors - persona, presence, influence of a leader. Not always done with goals and stats but there's that tangible that makes a difference to a teams success.
Is an athlete deemed better if they win 5 silver medals than one that has 2 gold?

in a personal or team event??
your trying to equate team success with personal.
as it is a sour moment having the winner coming from the losing team, as evidenced by the disrespect buckley showed when he couldn't care less about the medal, as he just missed out on achieving the ultimate
Essendon - 16 premierships
Collingwood - 13 permierships.

What the hell are you talking about?
They didn't change the rules so a player on a losing side couldn't win the award.
Just highlighting that winning the ultimate prize should carry more weight even in team sports and when comparing individuals.
why did they change the rules?? if they actually did.
Bwahahaha! At least get it right...

team success, is seperate from individual.
team success highlights teams
it is an irrelevant point
g.ablett is widely acknowledged as one of the most talented individual champions to play the game, he kicked 9 goals in one of the most dominant individual performances ever seen in a GF.
yet came up against an awesome team, so didn't receive any team rewards.
stupid argument equating team success with personal

What Kelvin was trying to say is this.
Up to and including 1958:
Collingwood: 13 Flags
Essendon: 10 Flags
After 1958:
Collingwood: 1 Flag
Essendon: 6 Flags
What it shows, is one club has gone forward while the other club lives in the memories of their past glories.
Sounds like Robert Harvey.
so bucks has two BOG's in grand finals
two best player in the league, ie Brownlow & Magarey
throw in the rising star which he beat voss & hird to easily
bucks is the most decorated player
just happened to play for a dud teams in the AFL, originally brisbane bears, then collingwood.
I knew you were an idiot but this just ices the cake. Voss is not a big game player?yep voss played in 4 GF's and was never BOG.
hird, buckley have done this, they are big game players
Didn't read this part before.why did they change the rules?? if they actually did.
Didn't read this part before.
Yep, proves you are an idiot.
