But I suppose this r srs thread and needs to be treated in srs manna.

Sometimes an image can lighten up a thread or even add something genuine to it.

I must admit that in some respects it has got a little excessive.

Maybe we can still watch what type of pics we post in serious discussion threads.

Most of these kind of images I've seen in things like the POTY threads which were fairly light hearted in the first place. Obviously threads that are in Hell would have a bit more leeway but in terms of threads like the POTY and others like the Cut I think it would be nice if there was some leeway. No objections to banning them from quality discussion threads.
