I think Richmond supporters would say that only a finals win will be a pass mark this year. A lot of opposition supporters may look at where we were at last year and say we've improved tremendously - and they'd be right, but only a win will satisfy the rabid Tiger faithful....
Agree. Final win a must

I give us a tick after eight wins as the younger side, the most in the competition. Anything from here is a bonus (from my supporter's perspective) but it's important we give a good account of ourselves in finals and take a step.

The question applies to your team given expectation. So yes, a big fail if crows get tossed aside in straight sets.

richmonds game wont hold them up in finals IMO, ive seen it so many times...
too many inexperienced players, and they cant handle pressure, too small forward line also

its 50:50 imo, its a pass and a fail if the lose both

Normally, it would be a massive fail. But this year we have the quirk of Sydney being the best team and finishing 6th. If we lose to Sydney in a semi and go out in straight sets (which we will) I'm still giving us a pass.

Well
If I posted on here at the start of the year that I thought we'd not only be competitive, but make finals and top 4, I'd have been roasted from all angles - and probably quite rightly (but boy would it have been a delicious bump).
So on that, I'd say we've already passed for 2017 with flying colours

But

If we lose two straight finals, I'm not sure how the group would cope. Obviously many of our players did not play in our previous 3 attempts, but there is still a large group that may be a bit scarred if it is extended to 5 losses.
Also, next year a finals win is absolute minimum, starting offer pass mark. If we don't win one this year or next year, it's a fail.

Is this thread serious? They haven't won a final in 16 years. They've now finished 3rd, and if they go out in straight sets (as I expect they will), this would be viewed as a success? It will be the extension of further failure.
You also said we would not even make finals. Do not filter this thread with your bottom 4 tears
