Why do you say that macca69?

Do you simply not rate him as a first round pick?

Or do you just want him to fall to #16?

I just think that pick #14 is the earliest he'll go. Can't see him going top 10 and Melbourne, Bulldogs and Richmond rarely go for KPP with their earlier picks. Can see Adelaide picking him up, but not Sydney or West Coast.

Craig has said Adelaide will go KPP, and Riewoldt will be one of a few possibly around at that pick and would be no certainty to get picked by Adelaide ahead of Reid, Allen, N. Brown, Tippett, etc.

Melbourne

2001: Luke Molan
2002: Nick Smith
2004: Matthew Bate (as a utility)
2004: Lynden Dunn

Moreover, I don't like to look at what clubs have done in the past as a confirmation of what they'll do in the future - Logically, if they haven't drafted KPs in the past, then they are more likely to need them, which almost makes them MORE likely to draft one this year.

U can sorta put them into catregorys i reckon.

Picks 1-6 All pretty even and standouts in this draft
Picks 7-25 Some awesome talents in this group but all players come with a small ?
Pick 25-50 Players picked in this group will depend on where certain recruiters have them placed on their boards.
Pick 50+ With the depth of this draft, clubs will still take upwards of 20 players in this region.

forgot about Dunn, but Bate, N. Jones, McLean and Sylvia were the ones I had in mind. Smith was drafted as a ruckman too so technically not a KPP.

I think that if clubs have a certain trend in picking particular players early, generally they stick to it.

Has anyone seen tippett play?

Someone posted on bigfooty that he might be the next paul salmon.

Id like to pick at least one key position player with our first two picks.

Is reiwoldt good enough for top ten?
YEP tippett reminded me of jonathon brown with 3 pack grabs.pick 28 i'd like to see that!

People are saying our midfield needs attention and it does but this draft doesnt seem to have standout mids.

So would it be more wise to go tall, one tall back and one tall forward?

The big boys seem to be of a high level this year maybe we can fix our big man department early than try for runners later in the draft.

In one foul swoop we can replace rocca and wakelin in this draft.

What about this.

8.Tippett.

10. Reid/Reiwoldt.

Discuss.

I wouldnt mind seeing Jack Reiwoldt getting amongst Pebbles and Bucks down forward. We are cerntainly going to have to get another big forward in the draft though in place of Taz.

I think we need a mildfielder and a forward.
Pick 8 - Selwood
Pick 10 - Riewoldt
Would rather Sellar if available rather than Riewoldt. Very happy with selwood if available but in the likely event that he probably wont be id lke to see proud or jetta or even armitage. I think if Sellar isnt available at any of our 2 picks forget drafting the next best tall- just take the best available and that would be 2 mids.

Best available player but if it’s close then go with the need which is the midfield. We may or may not lack talls in 3 to 5 years time. If we don’t get 2 young midfielders soon we will have the worst midfield in the comp for 3 years. We nearly have it now. Buckley, Burns and Licuria near the end. Thomas and Pendlebury starting out and bugger all in between. Swan looks the goods but whether he will be elite remains to be seen. Shaw looks promising but whether he’s a midfielder remains to be seen. Holland is handy. Other than that it’s slim pickings and flaws aplenty.
spot on mate

Proud Proud Proud.
If Proud gets picked he will be my new favourite player. I've just heard the way he plays the game but I like him.
Yeah, me too - I'm just picturing us passing on him, and me being devastated... Before my Collingwood-bias convinces me that the guy we picked is significantly better than Proud within about 20 minutes of the pick.

In 2004 I thought we'd pick Danny Meyer or Matthew Bate, and last year I thought we'd pick Xavier Ellis and Darren Pfeiffer... I tend to get it wrong. However, both years I haven't been disappointed with the picks, just surprised.

In fact, last year I was quite ecstatic that we'd picked up Pendlebury - I rated him highly pre-draft.

This year I have a weird feeling we're going to end up with three out of Sellar, Armitage and Collard. I have no idea why though... And with my history, I'm probably going to be wrong.

i have heard that many people think sellar will be around in picks 8 to 10 many think he will drop out of the first round. I was wondering your blokes oppinions and whether or not u would be happy to pick up sellar or u would rather him slide
