Do we have to rely on other teams to make the 8?

Doesn't really cancel out the Freo loss at all. Only a win against a side we are not expected to beat will cancel out the Freo loss.
Oh, I'm going this week. Are you? Weak as if you don't:cool:
That little puppet man in the corner is freaking me out Tugga. Can you change back to boobs please?

Anyone else quietely confident of knocking off Adelaide at home?

provided foley, jack and grimes play
I am absolutely confident that we will give it a crack. This season is like no other. Any team not rock up to play and the opposition will pounce. See Melb v Bombers

We beat them there last year and have won at AAMI this year. Sure the crows are playing well but I'd expect that the loss to the dockers is a timely wake up call and it will burn a bit after the lads have had some resent success.

As the coaches have said we now go into every game thinking we are a chance to win.

I think the Mad One was suggesting if we beat the Crows it would cancel out the Freo loss.

If Jack and Foley are both back in and not hampered by their recent injuries I'd give us a good outside shot at the Crows. Otherwise, nope.

The Adelaide game is the one we would win. We will have nothing to lose and will therefore play well. Then comes next few weeks against shinbone battler peice of shit clubs like North and the Dogs who always play above themselves against us and win (but we still know they are just poor clubs making up the numbers).

Every team relies on others as to where they end up, unless they win every game. We're just in the middle pack of teams. This year the top 14 teams get 2 extra wins because of the expansion. So you'll need 13 wins to play finals probably. We have 8 very winnable games left, so if we play to our capabilities and break even on luck we might play finals. If we don't do this then we're toast for the finals. Some teams will do better than expected, and some worse. Let's hope we're one of the better ones.

No, I don't think we are on par with them. In fact, (and really hate saying this) they have been the biggest improver this season by a mile, thanks to Sanderson and his assistants. A far cry from the recent cellar dwelling seasons of Craig David at the helm!
If a miracle happens and we beat the Cows in R14, our win/loss ratio should be 7-6, then absolutely right back in the hunt for a finals position. It will be a mighty effort!
Unfortunately, the Cows have been playing inspiring footy all year, regardless of their easier draw and should account for St Kilda on Friday evening.
I think you could fairly safely say it's a case of a new coach and new message, offloading some dead wood and the fact the players long stopped responding to the Neil Craig message. He seemed to have lost his passion for the gig last year and the players responded accordingly. Think there was always an expectation the Crows would improve with a new person at the helm and they have. They were also pretty badly hit by injury last year!
