For those wanting to sack dimma, best to remember two new rules.

Firstly, we cannot poach any assistant coach to replace dimma until AFTER their current club is finished for the season. I don't know if this applies to VFL/SANFL/WAFL options.

Secondly, Striker475 already laid this out on the main, so this is a cut and paste of our options under the new accreditation rule:

As of 2015, the AFL now requires coaches to hold a Level 4 Senior Coach accreditation in order to become a senior AFL coach. All coaches who have been a senior coach prior to 2015 automatically gain level 4 experience.

I'll try and leave the completely ludicrous options (say, Damien Drum) off this list.

Level 4 Accreditation, never held a senior position:
Stuart Dew (Sydney)
John Barker (Carlton)
Simon Goodwin (Melbourne; appointed Melbourne coach from 2017)
Blake Caracella (Geelong)
Robert Harvey (Collingwood)
Adam Kingsley (St Kilda)
Simon Lloyd (Geelong)
Matthew Nicks (Port Adelaide)
Peter Sumich (Fremantle)
Brett Montgomery (Western Bulldogs)
Jade Rawlings (Melbourne)
Justin Longmuir (West Coast)

Previous AFL coaches (still involved in the game as a coach)
Michael Voss
Brett Ratten
Mark Neeld
Brenton Sanderson
Matthew Primus
Mark Harvey
Mark Williams
Guy McKenna
Gary Ayres
Brendan McCartney
Neil Craig

Other options
Paul Roos
Mark Thompson
Mick Malthouse
James Hird
Scott Watters

Based upon this, any talk beyond this list is wasted. Also if we do sack dimma mid season it means we will be stuck with Lade as our senior coach for the balance
You missed Matthew Knights previous coach of Essendon.

and his team got unidentified blue drinks supplied by Weapon

Bomber should not be allowed to ever officially work with any aussie rules club again, at any level (same with all the officials with an involvement in that program at EFC)

I know that this is a 'No Opposition Supporters' thread, so I don't want to intrude. However with my list, I figured I will offer a quick opinion.

- The AFL spruiked the Lv4 coaching accreditation but noone is sure if it'll actually be enforced. If you have a raft of senior coaches be removed at the same time, there may not be the candidates. Sure, some will be accredited but that doesn't mean they're good.
- The one that I did completely miss is Knights.
- The interesting part of the list is that with Bolton's appointment the only Lv4 accredited coach at Hawthorn is Ratten. Adem Yze is probably next in line but isn't in the program yet.
- If you asked me to pick a name, I would say Caracella. Played under Sheedy, Matthews and Malthouse; coached under Malthouse, Thompson and CScott. Couldn't ask for a better pedigree.

I reckon we should throw the chequebook at roos he would love to coach a massive club and be the one to get things right

would completely drown in his own bathwater if he took us to a successfull finals campaign :)

Dimma and Lyon to coach out next season.
We get Lyon in 18...bookmark it.
The same Lyon who has repeatedly shown he can't get it done or rebuild a list???
Lyon went a long way on the back of his stars at St Kilda and Freo but has never developed a single player.

We'll have a good chat about it because we're all bitterly dissapointed and make sure it won't happen again, until the next time when we crumble like pretenders as failure is acceptable to this administration. Maybe Peggy can give us a talk about sticking the course and scrapping up some cheap and cheerful wins on the back end.

Listening to him on SEN

They are a good team
We didn't come to play
Swans game gave us the blue print
Unlucky with injuries
Excited by young kids
Best list we have ever had
They are good side
They are 10-1
We didn't get the game on our terms
They were bigger and stronger
They are a good side will play finals
We have been unlucky with injuries

Hahaha. Keep defending the indefensible

What about Stuart Dew, who your club were after back in 2013 if I am not mistaken?
