For the second time, no

I don't think the full reset, delist, and rebuild is what we need, and sacking dimma will trigger it
I think that if you replace Hardwick with a good coach that the players are happy to play for, I don't think we'll go in full reset mode because that coach will recognise that there is still a lot to work with in this list

we dont have a list for a ross lyon parachute job, so that means any new coach will want a reset - 35 odd trades and delists over the next 2-3 years, and a full rebuild. no new coach will risk their career on a short term band aid job

I don't think we can accept three years of stagnation and a fourth year going backwards.

This team hasn't improved since 2013, and there is no excuse that can make that acceptable.

If we don't win a final this year, then Hardwick must go for the sake of not accepting mediocrity. And the reality is that we've got ourselves into a position where one more loss means we're not even able to make finals, let alone win one.

We need to get this list back on the upward curve, and we need to do it fast because players like Deledio and even Riewoldt aren't getting any younger.

Well, true. I guess I don't mind if it has to come down to a reset if that is what we need. This current regime doesn't look like it'll go much further than it did.

dont get me wrong, when its time to do that, its time to do that

I dont think our list is a total wash however, BUT we have massive issues with development and line coaching

Can we be certain that a rebuild will start after 7 years because we were told by Dan that the fans couldn't wait eight years but are currently taking 2 steps back?
Times almost up and I haven't got any faith in this lot .

and his team got unidentified blue drinks supplied by Weapon

Bomber should not be allowed to ever officially work with any aussie rules club again, at any level (same with all the officials with an involvement in that program at EFC)
Apart from the fact they played worse under him than Hird.

I know that this is a 'No Opposition Supporters' thread, so I don't want to intrude. However with my list, I figured I will offer a quick opinion.

- The AFL spruiked the Lv4 coaching accreditation but noone is sure if it'll actually be enforced. If you have a raft of senior coaches be removed at the same time, there may not be the candidates. Sure, some will be accredited but that doesn't mean they're good.
- The one that I did completely miss is Knights.
- The interesting part of the list is that with Bolton's appointment the only Lv4 accredited coach at Hawthorn is Ratten. Adem Yze is probably next in line but isn't in the program yet.
- If you asked me to pick a name, I would say Caracella. Played under Sheedy, Matthews and Malthouse; coached under Malthouse, Thompson and CScott. Couldn't ask for a better pedigree.
I think heard that you can go to the AFL for a permit for a non L4 coach approval.

I'm wondering when players will start to walk. If DH has lost them but the club guarantees his position then I'd expect more than one to request a trade out of the club regardless of contract status.

Wasn't Crocker with us for a while
Yep I remember seeing his dial at city oval, but being so long ago I cannot remember the exact details.
He's a subdued sort of a bloke. A bit like an obedient Labrador
Cannot see how he would motivate and take our list anywhere.
Another yes man.

so a coach has to be obnoxious and in your face to be successful?

I think he would be pretty intense if his teams playing badly.
