so a coach has to be obnoxious and in your face to be successful?

I think he would be pretty intense if his teams playing badly.
Nope he has little to poor communication skills and is a poor motivator. Listen to his presser from last night. DH mark2

tbhh at this level, players shouldn't rely on coaches to motivate them all the time.

Really they're 18 -30 yo with the average around 24yo. What were you doing at or thinking at 24? The guy is a joke. Listen to the best coaches past and present they've all got this air of presence authority power force calm and nous about them.
Your ears prick up when they speak. DH and CrockofShit speak and you go and turn the kettle on. Most of their speeches are the same crab rehashed.

Nope. We are emus we bury our heads in the sand at the first threat of instable. We vote Turnball or Shorten we are conditioned at mediocre. We will never be the game setters we follow. We rely on other people following us follow and paying hard earned.

Wouldn't be against Garry Ayres, bloke is a massive campaigner and would abuse the players

think our group needs a bit of campaigner. dimma is an accountant and we all know how soft and pissweak accountants are
What a great idea, hire someone no one will want to play for

Coaching is about teaching and getting the best out of players, not abusing them. We need someone tough but not abusive.

I.e let's use your fav player as an example

What should be said: Astbury, your effort and skill level is not acceptable, keep it up and you will be dropped"
- list areas of improvement-

What isn't nessecary and really won't work: Astbury ffs you are ******* shit and piss weak I hope you get killed by a stingray cos it's what you deserve campaigner.

Hardwick always sounds like he's trying to shake off the effects of general anesthetic to me ....just seems confused as to why things happened like they did ...and with that pained expression on his face it looks like its coupled with severe constipation
Not really inspiring at all

Watching AFL game day on seven this morning and while discussing Carltons change of fortunes and attitudes compared to last season they mentioned how quickly a side can completely turn it around with fresh ideas and belief if they have a good core group of senior players to carry forward the direction change. We have every bit the equivalent core of senior players that Carlton had in place.
I've been a Hardwick supporter in the past but fear if we don't move him on at seasons end at the latest we will continue on with this cycle of mediocrity yet again next season. We appear totally lost onfield at the moment, with little structure and gaping holes throughout the corridor which is why get absolutely smashed by the fast running direct playing sides. He seems to struggle or is just unwilling to adapt to opposition structure or style changes throughout the game. I don't know why this is? is he just steadfast that he is right and it'll just all miraculously fall into place for us (7 years and we're still waiting for it to "click" Dimma) or simply too arrogant to swing the changes? I realise injuries left us short of personnel on Friday, but match ups that are destroying us need to be changed mid game. Harvey again needing a hard tag is a fine example. How many times do we need to watch this little campaigner nudge 20 possessions and kick 4 against us. Apparently Brando can run all day, it's not like we wouldn't have missed his meagre 7 possessions had he been told sit on Harvey after he started to get on top early in the game. Just try something Dimma, anything. Make some f.....g changes!
Stupidity is repeating the same mistakes over and over and expecting a different result. This is us in a nutshell at the moment.
I now believe we need fresh ideas and to move Dimma on to go forward.
Knights, Dew or Caracella for me (in that order) at this stage, but we need to be doing something. Coaching stability is not the issue it once was at Richmond, our last three coaches have been afforded plenty of time to get results.
Be bold Tigers, enforce change and demand improvement. We the paying members and long suffering supporters deserve it.

I don't think it goes far enough
I think a coaching panel of Ayres,Akermanis and Damir Dokic. Is what needed
And you're right nobody likes accountants ,bed wetting poo sniffers

Just gagging
But Hardwick needs to go

Carltoon is on the wrong track anyway, they're playing so many older nothing types in year 1 of a 'rebuild' and they have beaten nobody to date (Geelong are on the slide and are being made to look ok by Danger, but they're going nowhere). Carlton draw has been easy as so far

I would be impressed if they were winning with a young side, but reality is they aren't.

I think with the right coach and assistants and a healthy list we can be top 4 as early as 2017. Changes need to happen asap

Next year will be interesting for them for exactly these reasons

This is a dead cat bounce for me

Umpires helped them versus Geelong to. I only hope they finish above us to bring us closer to a premiership. Its interesting on Game day indirectly admitted past clubs tanked, first I have heard of such a public perception as they were pushing for a lottery via the Mackie Geelong conduit

He is a dinosaur/dill these days but you can not argue he demanded respect when he coached.

You would never hear Parkin say we lost it in the 1st Quarter.

He would let the players know that lack of effort would never be tolerated.

What a croc. Are you saying he gave up at that time? He was saying that in HINDSIGHT they couldn't bridge the gap after the first quarter. Say whatever about the coach needing a change, but don't start saying he gave up, that is rubbish.

Heard during the week on SEN that Carlton have gone from the worst ranked team last year for minutes inside the forward line to the 5th best this year !! Just one example of how they have improved under Bolton, with a list that is close to the worst in the league.
Our Board/administration just don't get it, yep Hardwick's a great bloke loved by the players, those around the club blah-blah-blah, just can't coach.
