I think our problems are more in development and recruitment, which is why I want the changes in those areas
That being said, he's on his last chance with me - 2017 is make or break. Thats my view FWIW
No doubt, but are we prepared to let him fail and accept another wasted year next year? Our best players are getting older, the time is now. We can't afford another nothing year next year waiting to sack the coach. I think it's time to be brave and shake the joint up. And history shows the best way to do that is to remove the head coach. He's had 7 years for ffs! I've been a fan of his but I really worry that nothing will change next year if we go again with Dimma.

no, it happens all the time

incompetent is if he doesn't learn from it and fix it.
Most coaches learn after round one ... the minute Vlastuin put the ball over the line v Collingwood in round two - alarm bells. We are still using this excuse?

no, because we are not suffering from those probs anymore

our issues are bigger, and are lack of development, lack of depth in certain roles, and lack of a decent ruck are bigger factors IMO

Just want to point out we had 6 players with 15 or fewer games running around today, 4 of which have played 5 or fewer games. Anyone expecting that we weren't going to get smacked is kidding themselves. The only saving grace was the Hawks not actually giving a shit until % was up for grabs in the last.

That being said the game plan that was put in place was understandable too, Hardwick was always going to try and limit the damage as best he could with the players at his disposal. Lets not forget weeks ago we all wanted to see the kids being played so that we could get a look at who could take us forward and now that we're going through with that people are losing their minds because we're getting smacked as a result.
Bull shit bull shit and more ******* bullshit

I
Hawthorn had an average of 58.9 games more experience than us per player and were also 2y9m older than us on average per player, bit of perspective please, with a couple of exceptions you are all throwing the toys out of the cot like we have just been thrashed by Brisbane with a full strength team.

You all screamed for the kids to be played, Dimma is playing the kids but that is still not good enough in the eyes of some, what the **** did you all expect, that these kids would suddenly propel themselves into guns overnight and never have down games.

But lets not let perspective get in the way of a good ol coach bashing, most of the damage was done late in the 3rd and the last qtr when these kids that you all wanted played ran out of legs.

@somepeopleareneverhappy
It's not who played or didn't play it's not about experience vs inexperience. It's about the game plan there is no and i repeat no ******* excuse to use that style of game plan. Dimma is delusional. He has lost the plot.

They played shit because they are either out of form see Sheds & Conca, are sat on because they are important players for us see Bellis & Lloyd or were carrying a niggle throughout the game see Grimes.

Unfortunately there isn't much to bring back in at the moment to replace the likes of Sheds or Conca unless you want to turn to the likes Moore and Townsend. Lambert and Marcon are possibles but one was dropped for not having an impact and the other would need to be elevated to get his chance. Like I said in the autopsy thread at the moment its like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic, but alas there will be a few token changes at selection on Thursday but odds are we're not winning a game again this year.
We won't win a game this year or any year. Not while dimma dan peggy and Benny continue to **** us all over

why does it matter? this micro analysis of "who isn't voting sack dimma?!?!?" is baffling

look at earlier today - when ******s like This Is Anfield are being accused of being troll accounts, we really have jumped the shark. He may have no taste in EPL sides, and his taste in beer is questionable (who drinks IPA??), but as a fellow exile from PRE street, his as tigerian as they come
IPA is awesome. But if I want something more bitter I just watch the Tigers.

Did you expect the team we put out today to win, remembering we were still in the game with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd, but hey, don't let me stand in the way of a good ol toys out of the cot session.
We weren't in the game after the first qtr. The Hawks were dominating and should've won by 100+. Anyone who couldn't see it was a matter of time before they broke the game open clearly wasn't watchinh

Are you happy with and do you fully understand our gameplan?

Do you think the gameplan is suited to the players we have drafted and traded for?

Do you think other teams find it easy to cut off and counter our gameplan?

From my perspective, the gameplan doesn't suit the players we have at our disposal and that falls on the coach because he made it clear what players we would go after and has a say in trades and drafts. Also if we don't have the right players then Dimma needs to change the gameplan not try and keep forcing them to execute something that they clearly cannot

I think we dont have the players or the skills to pull off our gameplan

he's not killing it - hes been doing okay

and if our mids have to kill themselves to get his taps, he aint killing it
Once again, not sure what games you've been watching.

Hampson has been one of the biggest improvers on our list; consistently winning the ruck battle throughout this year despite the ineffectiveness of the midfield.
Even today he beat the duo of Ceglar and McEvoy rucking alone. None of us would have thought it but this season Hampson is a top 7-8 Ruckman in the comp.

It's not the mids having to kill themselves to get his taps, its our midfield unit being woefully poor this season and a lot his tap work not being utilised.

Result or margin was never an issue today as far as I was concerned it was about beginning to implement a new game plan for the future. To quote Blighty I couldnt give a rats tossbag if the Hawks hurt us on the turnover and ended up belting us if we were at least trying to take the game on. But no, more of the same old slow, backwards sideways football that we have come to expect
