Mate both sides are rubbish. We ain't winning anything with
Grigg Houli Marcon Hampson Ashbury etc etc as these types get found out on the big stage. Even dumbo told you last week that GWS are a Lamborghini and we were basically nothing. I went to the Hawks game and we have no hope .
Now this fast game plan rubbish is just a bs thing DH implements against weaker sides , but soon as the big guns come he tries to stop the bleeding with his crab tactics. Don't get fooled we've missed the finals this year and we will again next year if DH and the same FD are still there .i know we're all desperate for wins , but with DH all we've ever achieved is bloodless victories. He's won nothing when it's really counted. Sorry for putting a damper on your excitement , but get real DH has just messed up another year. Wowee Spring carnival is coming maybe DH and and the rest of us can all be on a winner. Now how exciting will that be ?
I did state the game wasn't great and both sides are as good as each other but i can't hide the fact we won and it was a joy to watch i mean its better than loosing right? I don't think we are going anywhere with him either but i cant change poo unless a chance to vote happens and even than as it has been said many times all the big talkers don't turn up to vote so im not hopeful there. Don't matter whose there and how crap we are i will still enjoy a win as they say a win is a win.

Mate we haven't won anything , but that is difficult to get through to the footy illiterate.

We're just delaying the inevitable with DH and that is achieving nothing. He's a ball rubber too close to certain players and that's why he fails to make hard calls. What coach hugs their players for beating a ship 12th side when both teams are out of the finals race ? Guys career is on the line as he's so desperate for his wins. Peg will lower the bar for him and still keep him on, just like she resigned him after he didn't win a final. We're not winning anything under DH. It's 2009 all over where were all excited for winning although we were going nowhere
Welcome back to being a modern day RFC supporter cheering for mediocrity. Poor old Watters McCartney and Sandilands must be wondering what they did wrong to get the arce as they were no worse than the ball cupper at PRO.
Nobody is cheering for it.
Most just don't see the point of banging their head against the wall.
It's obvious he's staying and there is **** all anyone can do about it.
One thing I will clear up though is it wasn't him hugging the players it was the other way around.
It was very telling. I agree though they love him too much.
They should like, respect and fear him.
So personally I'm putting myself into the real world knowing he's staying and hoping he realizes he has been kissed on the dick and realizes he has to change with this second go at it.
Otherwise it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

We can heartily agree on that.
Short term, at least for the weekend, can't we just enjoy Richmond won and Collingwood lost.
No one is expecting people to change their opinions on the back of a win over the 12th side but I really wish they'd wait until at least Monday before dumping their shit over every thread.

**Yes, I do recognise the right of every poster to post what they wish (within Board guidelines) and when they wish. This is just my personal opinion**

Money makes the world go round. Yep, people are paid for services rendered. It's a crazy old world, by crikey.
A building inspection is a bit different from a demolition job, though Goldy.
Personally, Peggy lost me the moment, at a club family day, she referred to us the mighty 'black and gold'.

He won't change. It's the vibe I get.
He's still preaching that 'we are a good side', 'our best is good enough to beat anyone's', 'we have the players here to rebound quickly' nonsense.
For us to prosper, he needs to accept the fact that we don't have the cattle to win a premiership (I think we have the cattle that can contend for eighth) and that this season was coming, largely becuase of his own doing.
When Hardwick can accept his failings - having the team ill-prepared at the start of the season, playing guys out of position and that you need to regenerate your team yearly (Let's not ga-ga over his 'we're playing the kids now' nonsense, he wsas shamed into it - we can move on and hopefully prosper.

Its not the young ones we need improvement its the likes of hunt morris grigg b ellis griffiths again was horrible last night tv played his best game for a while but he went missing for long periods. Its amazing when the shackles are let loose we play ok why can't your master see that ?hell we even tackled for a change.
Add hampson and Llloyd, who went missing for large chunks as per usual.

Well one thing can be put to bed conclusively- Hardwick has lost the players.
Got a tip off this week that the players would be fired up because they love him so much. Didn't believe it.
That's an indictment anyway.
But let's look at things realistically.
He's staying.
He's unbelievably fortunate to get a another chance and has an opportunity to reincarnate himself and his philosophies.
If he doesn't he should be committed.
He needs to listen to the players who love him but not the way they are asked to play, tonight there was tiny evidence of that.
He needs to be a real hard prick with them and not tell them what they want to hear.
Become as ruthless as he was on field.
The St Kilda players "loved" Grant Thomas too, made f*** all difference in the end because ultimately he couldn't coach, and that played a big part in one of the most talented lists of recent times not winning a flag.

This is the most talented core group the club has had in decades, if the board squander it just becsuee the players love the coach (and they're too afraid to own their mistakes), then we're a joke.

Mate it has to.
If they haven't said to him look we trust the bond you and the players have but you have to change what you're doing it would be crazy.

I agree. I can only imagine he has said shit will change and they have swallowed it.
Time will tell not much we can do about it.

This is one of our flaws as they will see this year as being that glitch in the system. This is only one of DH issues

Actually quite a few players have said he can be very blunt and honest.

Last year was the worst though... We looked tired due to the fact we couldn't rest half our team the week before. Despite how crap we were in the middle, had the umps paid Edwards the most obvious holding the ball in the history of the world and TV had kicked the goal on the run... we still win the game and it covers up the poor selections of Griff and Conca... anyway, it's done!
*worse. :p I'm bored sorry.

There's still plenty that can be done, acceptance doesn't help the situation. One win and the baying for blood stops, it's a pisswesk acceptance of mediocrity.

That said, Gale was noticably not smiling after the game last night, I'm still optimistic we'll sack Hardwick.
