Fake is it? It's from the Harrington fire. I googled Harrington fire and clicked images. It could have been from any number of images there to choose from, all equally terrifying.

The guys on 3aw this morning were saying that some tv stations speed up the video of the smoke moving to make it look as though it's storming through the land.

Obviously to the few families involved it is a disaster. But on the whole it was not that big.

So I open the article expecting to read and/or see photos of fire fighters valiantly trying to save the Opera House - only to read the 'doorstep' was/is actually somewhere in the Hawkesberry region, about 100ks from the closet outer NW suburb of Sydney...

Bush fires have replaced same sex marriage as the exploitable topic in the news to keep everyone busy. Its like 100 Syrians on a leaky boat, a news story waiting to happen. Waiting to be exploited. Exploited like fem nazi sherrele madam fuhrer moody and her fireys go home and bash Thier wives moment. Everyone missed the sexism she used to push sexism. Not all fireys are men.
Sitting next to her was greens senator. Imagine the Israeli pm sitting in on a press conference for neo nazis.
So on that note, yes bushfire are exploited.

If idiots build in high bushfire risk zones then that's on them in the end.
If people build on flood planes nobody has any sympathy for them when their house floods. They knew what it was when they built there.
Same should apply for residence built in the middle of a bush area.
