I don't see the negative of giving up a home game at all. A game against Port at Etihad is just about a guaranteed financial loss. We'll get a replacement game in Melbourne so members can still get to 11 games. If it wasn't for giving up a home game to New Zealand last year, members wouldn't have had access to one of our greatest ever wins against the Bulldogs.

Port:
- We want to play a game in China.
- We don't want to be the home team.
- We want all of the benefits of being the home team though.

They can GAGF.
All this. Seems suss.

I'd also put the long flight as well. NZ isn't that far from the east.coast, I'd prefer us to have another game over there next year

But they don't want us. Don't think the flight is the issue as it will be a bye round afterwards. Anyway doubt it is us after what Kochie said on SEN today.
What did Kochie say?

Wellington didn't want us anymore. The AFL is still looking at other places for a game. Auckland, Christchurch

I just don't get how port can declare they want to play in China and not be the home team? o_O

Seems pretty strange to me... Would've been like us going to New Zealand and not being the home side.

Back to the original question, if it got the club a massive pay packet than I wouldn't be against it at all. Would help the club great financially, but I don't think we'd be the side. Seems like we are still focussed on New Zealand
More home games in Adelaide for them.

The BigFooty podcast discussed the China game and apparently St Kilda has ruled itself out of being the second club, they think the other club might be Melbourne

No thanks

What should be the big deal is thinking about the good of the game it would be a fantastic opportunity to really launch the game internationally and would be a privilege to take part in such a match.

The added bonus to is if even only a a slight percentage really takes to yhe game. Imagine the possibility of international membership and so forth. The postives could be unreal.

I am all for it.

I want the money so a big yep. Hopefully we have a lucky colour scheme or something and sign 20000000 members in one night.

Just give every player on the team number 88 on the back and bingo...there are your millions of members.

Boys don't like going outside of Victoria, and don't start me on international soil.

Making the trip from Frankston to Etihad is bad enough .
Sooo China its a NO thank you .

Red and black are very traditional colors in China we would get plenty of fans from it. Japanese friends chose us on our colors.
