Well...Do ya's? If so, what make/model/vintage?

Mine is an Ibanez S470. Its black, produced in 2004, and has the most wicked Tremolo system I think I've ever encountered. Very easy to play very easy on the eye.

Please feel free to talk about Basses as well.

I also have an Ibanez 4 string. Bought it 2nd hand so I don't know much about it other than its wicked to play and has some really sexy active pickups.

Wasburn accoustic

Cort electric that looks something like the guitar Santana uses in the Smooth film clip.
A Music store near us had their annual stock clearance recently. Some pretty good deals for Washburn Acoustic and Electric series. I was seriously tempted by one of the Washburn acoustics (1/2 price). How do you find yours to play?

BTW, did you know that Cort manufacture alot of the guitars going around (Washburn/Ibanez et al)? Cort are a very good brand. They used to be regarded as fairly hokey.

It plays alright but in all honesty I'm not knowledgeable enough to give a well informed opinion. I rarely play anymore and as I prefer the electric I've pick up the accoustic maybe 2 times in the last 7 years. (Whereas the electric I've picked up maybe 5 times!)

Have been told that. Good to have it confirmed as I used to think Cort were pretty crap. I've only had this one for about 3 years. Bought it new.

How do you find your ESP? They're pretty sensational guitars imo. A Bloke I jam with has an ESP Horizon w' licensed Floyd Rose tremolo. Very ace guitar. Love ESP.

Fender Squire, cheap but only use it for mucking around with. I also have a Fender Jazz bass... quite a sexy axe. I'm left-handed so it's really hard to find guitars, especially in stock. Also have a bass amp (Hartke head, 350 watts and Ampeg speakers 4x10 inch) though the head is a little noisy. Oh, have many pedals too... Jim Dunlop bass wah and Boss pedals (tuner, distortion and phaser with expression pedal).

If I had money to burn I'd consider buying better Fenders and a five string spector bass. The way I actually saved for my Fender Jazz bass was by putting all my gold coins in a tin... I even paid with the coins. :)

That ESP guitar is sweet as, I am jealous.
Is that his Flying V one?

I own a Epiphone Les Paul standard which has done the job for me very well since I have had it.

Also have a Gibson Les Paul which is a quality guitar and old Samick cheap arse guitar which I only use to thrash around with basically.

Not a guitar but on Monday I will be picking up my new amp, Fender Hot Rod deluxe which I am very fond off.

Yeah it's awesome. I haven't touched my Epiphone since I got Stacey. Has a really nice clean sound. I don't really know too much about the specifications - I just like to play.

Hmmm, I have five at last count (including a bass).

1) Martin Dreadnaught (can't remember exact model). Got it for $3000 about five years ago, probably worth $4500 now.

2) Kasuga classical guitar (nylon strings). About 30 years old now, sounds beautiful, a few dings though, as you'd expect.

3) Antonio Morales classical guitar. Bought this in Grenada, Spain about six months ago, and carried it around Europe for a while. Absolutely incredible, custom made by one of the best luthiers (guitar makers) in Spain, with an awesome sound, great harmonics and a brilliant cutout. My pride and joy.

4) Fender Stratocaster. Just your standard issue Strat. Use a 80W Marshall combo amp (hopefully getting a better stack soon), with Boss pedals.

5) Yamaha Bass. Just an el cheapo red bass which I got just to say I had one in my collection.

How many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb?

11. 1 to do it, 10 to stand back and say that they could do it better, faster and would look cooler doing it. :D

Carry on.

And no, i dont own a guitar. Would love to own a sunburst design Les Paul one day, just like Ace's. Love those guitars.

Own a cheap arse bass, and a cheap arse guitar, and a cheap arse amp. Obviously looking to upgrade at some stage. :D But I'm only a hobby player for now, so it's not a huge priority as long as it's all in working order. I get just as many kicks listening to music as I do playing it, so to me the equipment isn't paramount.

I've got 6.

Fender Strat (I use this mostly)
Fender Tele (I'd use this but it desperately needs to see a doctor)
Gibson Les Paul
Ibanez Les Paul (old 70s copy that actually sounds and plays better than my Gibson)
Squire P Bass (blah)
Ovation acoustic (more blah, although it's lovely for some things)

I think that's all? I can't remember....I've got so much stuff lying around at other peoples houses, or stuff that I've lost track of completely...

Need to get:

Gibson Flying V (nice original one if I can find one without taking a 2nd mortgage!)
Another Tele (I like em)
Another Les Paul (I like em too)
A nice Martin acoustic
Fender P Bass (70s preferably)
Fender Jazz Bass (as above)

Need to get a 5-string bass too, although I've not really looked around for one, so I'm not sure what I want....maybe a Musicman of some kind....it's last on my list anyway...

Amps...I use the same Fender Twin that I've had since I was 15 live (and occasionally in the studio) and I have a little old 70s Fender Champ that I picked up in LA a few years ago....awesome little studio amp!

Desperately need to get a Marshall....have so for years, just haven't gotten around to it....can't decide between a JCM800 and an early 70s JMP....probably go for the JMP, but then I'll still need a JCM800 too....

Let's not start on synths and recording gear!

That's quite possibly the most intelligent thing you've ever posted. ;)

I also wouldn't mind a Fender Jazzmeister or Fender Jaguar. No idea what they sound like but I like the shape. Classic but rare.

I used to have this Washburn electric that looked out of place if you weren't wearing spandex. Looked crap but was a good guitar and especially good for learning as the action was low all the way down the neck.

Is a "Jazzmeister" a cross between a Jazzmaster and a bottle of Jagermeister?

If so, I'll have few please! :)

I nearly bought a Jazzmaster when I was in LA.....but ended up bringing home the Fender Champ and an old original Fuzzface pedal instead. (which I don't regret at all!)

Maybe one day I'll get one...

:D

Two of my favourite things in the world combined!

My gear:

Fender MIJ Jazzmaster
Fender USA 62 re-issue Strat
Warmoth custom rock axe (EMG's, Floyd rose, 2 octave neck, all that tossy stuff)
Fender MIM Jazz bass
Maton ECW80C acoustic
Alhambra 3C classical
Fender 65 re-issue black face Twin
Rivera Knucklehead55
