Collingwood at home looks like a straight up loss for us, especially when you consider how tired we looked in the 4th against Geelong coming back from Perth last time.
Collingwood get 3 extra days and we somehow have the 4:40 Sunday slot in Perth.
wtf is the afl even doing here?

Collingwood will likely have nothing to play for at that point.

I think we’ll miss Rachele a fair bit as well.

Miss him - bloody oath.

If he played against Gold Coast rather than Murphy, we probably would have won - Rachele hits the scoreboard and has averaged nearly two goals a game this year.

The only games he hasn’t scored a goal was North Melbourne (injured first qtr), Hawthorn and Melbourne (injured second qtr).

Curiously, the Dogs have also lost to every team that we have been beaten by. They also lost to Brisbane.
Like us, they have beaten every bottom 9 side they have played.
(They have not played West Coast, but have played North twice.)

Win on Saturday, we stamp ourselves as better than the doggies, then I think we'd have to drop both the WC and North games to miss finals from there.

I think we would be odds on to play at least one home final, i.e. finish in the top 6.

We still have Gold Coast, Hawthorn and Collingwood at home, win those 3 and it makes us look much stronger.
This is why it is so important that we win as many games against fellow top 8 teams as possible to boost confidence for a good finals campaign.

I too am comfortable that we will play finals, and Nicks will get his contract extension. I just hope that we don't go out in straight sets but really make a good fight of it and win at least one final.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this. Saw this table on AFL's access today. I think this is why I am not confidant we will do well in finals even though it looks like we will make possibly top 4.View attachment 2361741
I see it's been discussed

Wasn't the Geelong game after the Gold Coast match?

That was Gold Coast not Perth.

Went in to the Geelong game on the back of a 5 day break and 30+ degree heat

Dogs = L (40/60)
Suns = ? (50/50)
Port = ? (50/50)
Hawks = ? (50/50)
Eagles = W (90/10)
Pies = L (40/60)
North = W (70/30)

Could go 5/2 or 2/5. I'm thinking somewhere in the middle. Percentage will get us 5th or 6th.

Bulldogs, Hawks and Gold Coast are must win games to finish top 4 as they are 8 point games.

If we drop one we have to beat Collingwood or rely on slip ups.

The rest need to be wins, no excuses not to beat Port, Eagles and North.

Port, Suns and Hawks at home are not 50/50 games, they are non negotiables, we will go in as heavy favourite against Port and they are shot.

I can see us doing the most Crows thing ever and losing to North in Rd 24 and missing top 4 as a result.

Cushy EF home win.
Away SF smashing where we kick some junk time goals to only lose by 33
Cant see that happening.... well not the first bit anyway.

Finish in 4th. Beat Collingwood for once.

Home PF vs Brisbane. Win again.

Geelong chokes vs GC.

Crows vs GC granny.

GC loses to a Rankine free kick that is paid and kicked home after the siren.

Hardwick in tears.

Greatest day in crows history.

Beating Geelong in a GF and seeing them cry, especially that one dressed up like a cat + Chris Scott complaining about some perceived unfair advantage after the loss?

Delicious.

Gold Coast, meh. Ill take it though :D
