When I saw the round 11 betting thread, it got me curious. Do you ever use the poker machiens, and if you do, have you ever had any luck on them?

My best effort has been $52 on my 18th birthday. And I have won some money more times than not since then.

Only ever won in N.S.W and that was about $50.00 . Max $10.00 donation for me. What amazes me is these brain dead regular "players" think that
a: they are unlucky when they have a full row bar 1 and its above it.
B: there is a system to these things. Newsflash dum dum they are programed to take your money.

Casino games now there is a different story. Bring em on.
or horse/sports betting helped pay a few of my bills over the years.

Another question to ad is "Are you in front" and be honest im not in front no way near it.

yes I play the pokies. Well actually that should read 'played' the pokies. Only ever at the Lions social club, which is now closed, and hadn't played them since february this year.

Have had a number of 3 figure wins. with the largest being in 1996, while waiting to buy our finals tickets for the EF against carlton, popped in the $9 from my wallet and got the mini jackpot of over $700.

If you do play the pokies and they have promotions there, it is worth it to go in them. I have never had luck in 'winning' things from a draw, but hey scored a DVD player and 2 x 34cm tv's at teh Lions over summer.

If you must gamble why not give yourself a sporting chance ?

Go to the Track, study the form, bet with a bookie and enjoy a day out at the horseys in the sunshine and fresh air.

Why oh why sit in a darkened room pouring money into a computer that is programmed to take your money - everytime ?

Its dumb - surely ?

:D here here.

I see some people who rest their glass on thebutton so they don't even have tolift a finger....they wait an hour or so until the inevitably lose and then walk out. Why not just hand over the cash and save the time.....go home and see your family or something.

Not to mention the complete havoc they have wrought on the great Aussie pub.

grrrrrrrr
