In 2016, I finally got sick of having my posts deleted so I edited my last 20 odd posts to say post deleted to save the moderator, changed my location to bigfooty.com and was glad to say good riddance to that dictatorship.
If you are a RTB hater and are happy to be a yes man to the DockerLand Fuhrer then it's a place you will likely enjoy.
 
I haven't posted on there in over a decade.

I know a Freo fan (lived near Joondalup) who responded to a remark about playing in Joondalup (Shane said Joondalup was so far north you have to walk to Broome and back) saying 'so you live so far south you have to walk north to Esperance'. He got the boot.
 
It is.

The FreoMOB site on the other hand shut down a while ago and that group is pretty much defunct.
 
I loved Dockerland and posted there - only coming here because it was shutdown over Xmas one year.

I copped a few hits but fundamentally it's a great site which is a bit more intimate and in-house than Bigfooty.

Different strokes for different folks - we're all purple.

They killed a massive opportunity. I can see in my profile that I've been posting on BF for 14 years and was a regular on Dockerland prior to that. If they allowed both sides of the debate on all topics and just deleted the opposition trolls their site would have been the go to for all Freo supporters and a pretty good money spinner. Instead it's a small group of 30 or 40 regulars stroking each others ego's.
 
The site reminded me of Statler and Waldorf (the grumpy old men from the muppets) ... Shane appeared to take great pleasure in heckling, criticising and censoring anybody who dared to make a positive Freo post.

Sadly, for my liking, there was just far too many queuing up for a seat in that balcony with him and just a handful with thick enough skin willing to contribute an alternative point of view to discussions.

yep me too. was a passionate member of that site till I got sick of my seemingly innocuous posts being deleted because they didn't align with some orthodoxy or another. I honestly couldn't keep track of what you were allowed to say and not.

I kept getting posts deleted when I wanted Connolly sacked.
Haven't been there for years.

The final straw for me was seeing a post in 2006 that was that was very well written after a win with the first half of it praising all the things the team did well in the game, the latter some fairly minor constructive criticism on things that in their opinion the boys needed to work on.

10 minutes later the 2nd half gets deleted :rolleyes:

Seems like a lot of effort ....apply, undergo interrogation, take the ritual beatings ...get appointed ...delete E-Shed's post ....resign.
