Barracking for the same team doesn't make us all the same - that's your sheepish claim to fame.
Only Mission Man would introduce the word homogeneousness into a BF post

I don't see the problem with Dockerland, How hard is it for people to understand it is Shane's site, He pays for it to stay up, if he doesn't like something on it he has every right to delete it. During the footy season I would spend a majority of my working time (Don't tell the boss) on Dockerland. I'm greatful that the docker supporters have a forum to go to in which you can have a laugh, make a fool of yourself and thank the lord everyday you don't support the slime up the road.

How hard? Not too hard once you've been told. Whenbever I sign in I must just go straight past the "Shanes Site" announcement

"You're all individuals"

"I'm not"

and that's "Your Homogenousness" to you thank you very much

"Homogenousness" sounds like something you do to milk.

docker_azza, I've just visited WHTP. Whilst I quite like the funky decor and that natty anchor-with-DVT logo, I can't actually visit the forums as my "IP appears suspicious". Is that some sort of moderation? And most importantly, suspicious of what?

It is a wise site that knows an intended nickname just by looking at an ip addy

I get that too. I emailed Chris about it but I think he thought I was having him on. So what goes on in there is just "secret Mob business" as far as I am concerned.
On the plus side it doesn't let you through the front door and invite you to have a chat before gagging you ;)

I'm suspicious too. Not happy about that as apparently lemon's infamous Ben Allan Doll/Lanyard photo never got deleted from there.

Hi fellow dockerlanders..oops, BigFooty-ers/ians.
I've contributed very little to this site as I'd been caught up on DL for a long time, but after becoming disenchanted with it's moderating have arrived here.
After reading this thread I was glad to find that it wasn't just me that was getting frustrated.
Like many of us out there I found myself looking at DL daily and found it enjoyable being a part of something.(messageboard) But when you find your little contributions are being immediately discarded it gets a bit pointless trying to contribute.
In the past on DL I have had posts deleted regarding player movements, comments from the board and for asking why horse racing is such a big component of their site. (Boy did that hit a nerve!)
Whether it was trying to mention at the start of the season that Croad was going to be traded, or the boards thoughts about CC's longevity as Freo coach they have all been deleted/ignored. And most recently when emailing them to find out why a post had been removed to get a 'JUST DON'T GO THERE' as a response it doesn't tempt me to post there again..ever. I told shane so and now don't contribute to the site. (or did I say 'jam it up ya clacker'?)
No-one has to agree with everyone elses opinions, but when a site starts deleting and editing posts as they do you have to wonder whether your opinion really matters to them. Then you realise it's time to move on. Thanks DL for years of great reading but either you've outgrown me or I've outgrown you.
surfsup
And it's good to see the likes of MM and other familiar names here, I love your work!

Ripper, carneagles

Yesterday, I just got promoted as a super moderator, so I will put these complaints on the mod board forward to all, because I really dont know what to do. I have tried to login on different computers and I have come up with something similar carneagles, so it might have something to do with the computer/internet you are using.

IP restriction information - xillion has fixed this

Hi everyone nick here from Xillion Computers.

Just to shed light on the error within the forum. Some users may have been getting "Access to this website
is currently not possible as your hostname/IP appears suspicious"

the reason for this was an ipban option in the configuration of the XMB forum (what your viewing now)

it was stopping users from places like schools and goverment institutions accessing whtp forums

the ipban options checks a request for the whtp forum and looks at the IP information in the request if the information does not match certain rules it deems it suspicous and blocks you from entering (nerds it only allows true IPv4 and IPv6 not proxyed or firewalled requests)

this feature is turned off now and no one should have any problems

Ah. I usually browse through a proxy so that might have been it.

Carnie ......I'm poor and dont have a computer - at the moment I have just plugged my manual typewriter into the power point and have set up an etchasketch on top.

Moo

PS Carnie thanks I did not want to embarrass myself with a lack of knowledge but I also find browsing poxy too (especially at Christmas)

So when you reboot, do you just pick it up and shake it?

its shane's site ... he can do what ever he wants.

Correct.

However, the site is being seen by outsiders as the opinion of the all Dockers supporters, not just Shane's voice. Has he attempted to rectify this falsehood?

If you had to run around correcting the false assumptions of others, you'd be pretty busy.
