I totally agree with Hoogs. Me and many many other people here share his thoughts on the site. It's a disgrace to Fremantle FC. Not because of the people that post there of course, but solely because of the nazi dictator that strokes himself behind the server. Some of the private messages sent to me by admin were downright rude, simply becasue he didn't agree with my views on Connolly.

Before finding BF i used to read dockerland all the time, I actually even requetsed to join....... that was 2 months ago!!!!!!! No response at all, tried to join again with the same email and was told i already had an account!

Thank god I found BF!!

This is why I no longer post on Dockerland. It is not possible to have an intelligent conversation. All posts must read "Freo is great and everybody else sucks" (or along those lines) or you are pinged. Any questioning of the coaches, the administration, the players efforts etc is deleted. Agreed some of it is funny and they write a good article but the censorship is too much. And actually I don't post there anymore because I got booted off for good for calling it Docker-sycophant-land :D For someone who writes such funny articles Shane has a pretty lame sense of humour when it is aimed at his site ;)

Hope the trip's going well young fella. Off topic but the winner in the $2M Magic Millions Classic on the Gold Coast yesterday paid $90.50 then the winner in the next race paid $52. Have you ever seen a double pay close to $4,000????
 
My updated take on Dockerland:

When I was just a lurker DL was my favourite site and I'd always log on there before BF. But after I signed up to both I gradually started to lean towards BF as a much more enjoyable place to post.

You just get so many more varied and interesting people and opinions on here and the interaction with other posters is much more enjoyable than on DL. Plus the interaction with opposition posters (annoying as they may be sometimes) keeps it more 'real' than being safely tucked away on a cushy one club site.

DL is good for slagging off the eagles and blindly talking up Freo but after a while it all starts to feel a bit shallow and 'samey'. BF (and I can't believe I'm saying this considering the state of the main board) has far more depth to the conversations. Especially on the Freo board - we're pretty lucky to have a quality group largely free of the morons and bandwagoners that seem to inhabit other teams' boards.

I hardly ever go on DL anymore and I can understand people getting frustrated with their posts disappearing (used to happen to me too) but I'm not going to start slagging it off. My response is still the same as back when I used to post there - it's Shane's site and Shane can run it any way he feels fit. If you don't like it there's no point complaining about it - just post on here instead.

I might have to make more of an effort to go back there next year to read Shane's match previews though. He really does write some good stuff sometimes.

While I respect your right to support another team, I'm disappointed that you should have Carlton listed. When you joined the BF community in Dec 2008, your other team in Carlton had recently tried to purchase a Van Gough by offering a used handkerchief in exchange*. As a Fremantle fan, you obviously would have felt aggrieved at this. Having felt the aggrievance, you still chose to place Carlton as your other team on your profile. Shame on you.

I sincerely request that you refrain from posting anywhere on this site that I may stumble upon said postings.

I think that on the basis that this thread has been going for four years it really says something about the state of dockerland. A bloody mess.

I've been a Freo supporter since its inception and I've always been passionate about my club, and if things go wrong I will vent, always vent and give my opinion. That will never take away from the club that I love, doesn't matter what hilariously stupid scenarios happen my heart bleeds purple.

The thing about the moderation here; first Sabre and then Ripper, both guys allow a person to vent, share his disbelief, anger, and even happiness in all the right times. Doesn't matter what happens on BF, but on dockerland things matter when slackjaw Shane doesn't agree.

At the end of the day, we are all the same, we all believe that something is going to happen soon for Freo, and it will. I've believed that since 1995 and I will always believe. And if I want to be pissed off I will be pissed off, and if I want to rejoice I will rejoice like the biggest bastard in the world. Like a Hawk if you will ;)

To me it's all Freo and that's all I care about. Nobody will take that away from me.

I did have a lovely rant planned, but who knows if you are worth it. I love both teams, deal with it! As for said hankerchief, I think it's already clear who's won out of that trade.

I look forward to seeing your nose wrinkle in disgust everytime i post :rolleyes:

Even while feeling unwanted, still rate BF over DL, for now.

Well, I do agree with Esti to an extent. Personally, I don't go on DL anymore, in fact it has been a number of months since I have. More or less I hate reading stuff and not being able to put my thoughts down, so that's why I avoid it...
 
Funnily enough I actually found BF through dockerland. They kept referring to this place as 'Crapfooty' which got me curious enough to go searching for it.

Nice! I can tell you with unfathomable certainty that I've never even gone close to picking a double like that.

Hope you backed Guyno in the cup, he was great value.
 
For all those wondering what's the go, wehavethepassion is back up and running.

We've had a make-over, and the place looks good - all posters must re-register (all of about 40 seconds' work) to post, as we have a totally new database, and all those nerdy things.
