Dockers 30 years

If I am not msitaken, this year marks 30 years since we played our first game.

Does anyone know if there is going to be any commemorative merch? Or have I missed the boat and the 30 year celebration was last year.

For my 40th I paid for the 20th year jumper where people got to put their name on it and that was 10 years ago now.

Last year was the 30th season. They didn’t do as much as they did for the 25th, when they wore a special jumper, or the 20th as you said.

In my spare time I worked on a book for the Dockers that we put out last year, capturing the first 30 years of jumpers and funded by the club to celebrate the milestone. We photographed them all, worked out win-loss records and memorable moments for every design worn - men’s and women’s, season by season. A bunch of features with players past and present as well.

Awkward timing because its release coincided with the slide down the ladder last year, and then with the finals miss there wasn’t much promotion. It’s not perfect, and the Alex Pearce feature didn’t make it into the final copy, but I’m quite proud of it overall as a lifelong freo person.
