Fantastic, exciting game. Classic Friday night football. Well done.
The reaction afterwards looked like after our Prelim Final win last year, in fact against the same team.
Congratulations, see you next week.

Congrats Freo folks. I was nearly certified for saying that you were certs for the eight a couple of weeks ago on the North board. With a fair chance of three teams around you on the ladder losing this week, you're all but home.

Enjoy Kenny.

Congrats Freo. Great fightback and thrilling finish.

You're right BB, the Eagles lose to spite the Dockers. Paranoid?

Why? The Dockers are hardly a threat to WCE come finals time....you wont get the chance to play them again until next year now!

It's unlikely that there will be another derby before the game in London but if we finish 8th and win week one of the finals and west coast lose to 4th it would be a derby week two of the finals.

Cheers Dingster... I woke up at 6.30am just to listen to the game even though I went to bed at 4am drunk as hell. Will watch the game tomorrow through my Telstra account!

Fairenough, we might not be a threat. However i feel if we get a home final in the first round of the finals, we can win. If we win the that final we are a chance to play wce at subi. Would wce prefer to play Freo to play freo or geelong at subi? I think they would win either way, however i also think they would prefer to play geelong.

I was wondering why you haven't been around and then saw the Location. Moving up in the world.

Usually generate some some good posts.

Back to the game..... That game last night was brilliant. One of the best live atmospheres I've been to.

Definately, that was probably the loudest i've ever seen a Freo crowd, i've basically lost my voice after shouting myself hoarse during the last quarter!

How? If you win the first final and well done if you do, you wont play WCE the next week! The only chance is if you win week 2 and that isnt going to be easy as that will be in Melb or Sydney!

Just awaiting the words of praise from Jarman, Tico and the whiteants on Freo's win last night!

But we all know they wont appear unless the other games go against us this weekend and we're under threat again or we lose next week.

We do alright at the G.

The SCG is another story.

If your team loses today I dont believe we can make 6th. Cats % will keep us out.

I reckon you'll tank just to make sure the possibilty of playing us in an elimination final is taken away.

Don't kid your selves guys, this win had nothing to do with great coaching. If Justin Koschitzke (quad), Matt Maguire (hip) and Luke Penny (knee), who were off injured before three-quarter time, Fraser Gehrig hobbling around on one leg, we would have lost for sure. Loose next week and we could end up 10th with 11 wins. CC = tinky winky

Now that I've got that off my chest, the atmosphere at the game was electrifying. The only other game that was louder and more exciting would be the demo derby.

Not that I want to get ahead given just playing finals is still by no means in the bag, but Sydney finals are at Telstra Stadium, no the SCG.

Are you a Freo supporter or a ring in? If you are a Freo supporter I believe that you are the kind of cancer that hurts clubs. You write a cheap shot like that after a win like that? If you were from another club I'd call your post a troll but since you are a Freo supporter it a lot worse.

That was a dead set struggle against a team with one of the best midfields in the league. So they lost a few big men... the Saints still had all their midfield and we were smashed last week by a quality midfield. The boys stood up and played tough footy.

Move of the night - Connolly loading up our forward line for the last couple of minutes and putting J Lo on and taking Sandi off. Connolly's call and and you saw the result.

Don't kid yourself that you are actually a Freo supporter....

I wasnt kidding myself. I'm not sure about CC yet myself but I was just making a point that the ants only appear when theres negitivity around Freo. You can enjoy the game and the win without the continuing carping that some carry on with!

I was at the game, it was a lucky result but then thats the way it goes. We had Bell and Headland out too.

There were positives but at the end of day we coulda been smashed with the amount of play the Saints had and opportunities but we also applied the pressure to create some of them too.

He was spot on in his post raffrox. The Saints horror night of injuries won Freo the game.
Dont really agree. We were fighting neck and neck all night, there wasnt suddenly a switch in momentum when they got injured nor did any of our players suddenly jump outta the box. I will concede that the injuries took a toll but not sure you can solely blame the injuries.

The game against Port they will need to be better prepared and more accountable if we're going to beat Port.

Their attempt at shutting down the game early (late 3rd quarter I believe???) I think contributed more to their loss. They had the control of the game but tried to shut the game down rather than playing the attacking game they had been. It would only have taken another goal by them in the 3rd quarter early last and they would have snuffed out Freo's fight.

I'm definitely a Freo Docker supporter and have sat through some awful floggings over the years, none worse than the Hawthorn & Roo’s games this year. Friday night was one of the best.

However, I’m not a CC fan. If we bomb out next week and finish with 11 wins, 10th on the ladder, that to me is another wasted year. Will all the CC supporters still be making excuses next year if we bomb out, like last year & this year?

If we win next week, I will back here to tell every one that CC is the greatest AFL coach of all time and will never criticize him again.

So if we win or lose you will show what a weak willed bandwagon jumper you are. Calling for CC'c head or calling him the greatest coach in AFL history. Thats my problem with supporters like yourself.

CC has major deficiencies and usually names them in the media too. But he's done a marvellous job to get our season back on track. We are with in one win of 5th place and grouped with about 5 teams in that position. Its been a close season and EVERY TEAM has had shockers and let opportunities slip.

Stuff this for a joke... having to defend my team from its own supporters on its own board after a gutsy never-say-die win.

If it sounds like I'm fired up... it's because I am. I left on Friday night with nothing but pride for my club so I have zero tolerance for snipers at present. How about getting behind the team in the closest run to the finals I can remember where so many can make/miss the 8.

Now you've got that off your chest you should look in the cupboard for where your Mum put your brain.

I see your choices as two. Keep pushing that line and look like a complete goose. You can't discredit CC for mid-season losses when we had an injury toll, and then discredit him for winning because the opposition has injuries.

Or show that your a fair minded individual who can give credit where credit is due.
