Doctor Who is colour again!!!
It was colour for 'Spearhead' the first Pertwee then B&W for 'Silurians' and 'Ambassadors' because they were the Aussie versions cos the bbc threw out the colour ones. Now its colour again with 'Inferno' . If you have seen all the simpsons and are getting sick of it, watch the abc at 6 for some classic (comedy) sci fi with really bad acting from pertwee and others and cheesy music and sp. effects. But it is just great to here the old theme tune.

I am really getting into this.

Pertwee's Doctor Who was a bit before my name...getting the chance to watch it now is brilliant. He is fantastic. Elegant, classy, smart, no nonsense Doctor. Far superior to the previous two.

It's filmed very well. Much more energy about it than some of the flat, dry 80's stuff.

There is always a big shock at the end and I can see why it would scare kiddies in the 70's - very spooky show.

I'm glad to know that there are people around who watch Dr. Who. Of all the people I've asked they don't even know it's on. I've been watching since 'An Unearthly Child' and have really become hooked on the show. I've built up my collection of Doctor Who DVD's and have just got 'The Visitaion' which was in my view, appauling. Pertwee is my fav. Dr. along with the great Trout.

I don't get it? Why did they have Inferno in colour, but they just showed the 4 part storyline with the Master in black & white? Did the BBC allocate all its budget to the Inferno?

The bbc re-used the dr.who reels for other shows, 'taping over' the dr. who's. The Aussies and NZ's didn't throw their b&w versions out, so they are the ones we see.
