I don't mind the AFP having this technology but the controls need to be:
1) A court providing authority to the AFP
2) for a specific purpose
3) for a specific period of time

This is a massive slippery slope. Let's not forget governments are the biggest threat to citizens, for the majority of the world, the majority of the time.

Given the MCC use facial recognition, I think our bar on what society accept on this is pretty damn low.
