Basically the management have basically knackered the club and virtually ensured the near demise of this one time proud if small club.
years of finacial mismangement have forced them to move the team from Selhurst Park to all way down somewhere 90 miles away (some town called Martin-Keough or something)

What a disgrace. I feel sorry for fans of the Danger gang.
Hell they have started a new side called AFC Wimbledon.
It's sad really.

The town is called Milton Keynes. It's about an hours and a half drive north of London up the M1 or an hour on the the train.

I happened to see on the BBC this morning that they got 5000 to their first home match against Burnley, which is damn sight better than the 600 they'd been getting at Selhurst.

What a disgrace. I feel sorry for fans of the Danger gang.
That would be Crazy gang.

Two things that define a club are its supporters and its locale. Koppel has ripped Wimbledon away from both. I hope this remains an exception and not a precedent.

If Milton Keynes is to have a team of its own, then they should start one from scratch.

However, the nature of Milton Keynes (being one of the many "New Towns" set up in the last half a century) could be reflected in its football culture with all kinds of football fans there.

What happened to Wimbledon FC was a disgrace, even worse was that the league sanctioned it. I really hope the move to MK fails, the sooner 'Franchise FC' die, the better. I think they'll have a tough time because MK is full of telly watching Man Utd supporters, most of whom wouldn't be ar*ed to go and watch a first (soon to be second) division side turn out in a Hockey Stadium. Hopefully AFC Wimbledon can make their way up the pyramind and once again give the Crazy Gang a place in the Football League.
