Richard Pratt has not handed out any money to the Carlton Football Club yet apart from some cash for some facility upgrades. Its called using contacts to build a stronger club- not using contacts to build a drug-f**ked club as in your case.
don't get angry whipper;) just get used to the name the tassie two headed blue baggers:p :D because thats where you will have to go to watch home games in a couple of years. either there or canberra;)

^what he said.. the lid is being kept well and truly on, as it should.

And NitWit, you might wanna stop questioning Murphy's value if you're trying to form an argument against Carlton or their recruiting.. coz using that example makes you look pretty stupid ;)
The Cats did the best out of all the Victorian teams in the draft, so if I want to bag Carlton and their recruitng I will. Of course though, if you finished 16th you get first prference, so of course your mob will go for the most hyped player (i.e Gibbs), when you could have got better value out of a tall (i.e Leuenburger).

And for the record, or if I was not understood, I wasn't questioning Marc Murphy's talent, I just feel it is overkill at a club like Carlton, and with a coach that does not now how to harness that talent.

I thought Essendon did pretty well!

When Pratt said 'we'll win more games than we lose' I thought he was getting a bit ahead of himself.
Let's just say Denis will be having a pretty nervous season.

He expects some wins, and fair enough. Enough's enough, we have to start winning games. If we can win 10 with a worse list full of recycled rejects (2004), then this young list can be capable of something similar.

Most expected us to improve after 2004, especially after the 2005 pre-season. But it was a great letdown. If we can't improve this year we never will.

Why they have a reason to be happy? their team is going to rise up the ladder this year they won't make the finals but IMO they won't finish wooden spooners either that team will be a force in years to come.
