I heard that Gehrig bench pressed 150KG, though I'm not sure if thats a one repetition maximum or his average set weight. Apparently Sandilands at the dockers benches the biggest weight too (but I don't know how much).

Does anyone know what other players benchpress, squat, curl, etc? Seems hard finding how much weight these guys lift.

I know that Quinten Lynch beat Gehrig's old record at West Coast, not sure exactly how much he can do though...

i use to be able to do 180kg at 12 reps.
But i got sick of women asking me out all the time because of my hot ripped body. So i cut back. Now i only 100kg

We weren't asking what your weight was and how many times you got off the couch.

I think Riccuito holds the AFC record at about 156kg.

And from what I hear Chad Cornes holds Port Powers record of 120 kg by lifting his own head. Although there are rumuors that Tredders unofficially holds the record when he benchpressed Choco (weighing 185kg).

I think you'll find fraser can bench 170kg plus. As far as i know, no one has beaten that.

He held the west coast record at 160kg as well, but i'm unsure if anyone has beaten that, i doubt it.....

It depends what sort of rep ranges we are talking.
The testing protocols for most lifitng revolves around either 1 rep max, 3 rep or 5/6rep.
Programs are then based around % of theses record.
The record would also need to be calculated in terms of the players body weight. Gherig lifting 160kg at 100kg body weight or someone lighter lifting the equivilant in their body weight etc.
But as far as i've heard Mick Martyn at 160 so to Gherig

you're all wrong.
dunstall at his prime was the strongest, he has benched 8 plates (200kg).
ask any hawks supporter or any footballer from that era and they'll tell you that he was the strongest of all time.

judd's getting there, must be strong to lift his wallet around.

Given his size, I was impressed to learn that in his playing days, Paul Barnard could bench more than any other player on the Essendon list, at I think it was about 160kg
