Depends on the yard for me. House where I grew up - go for your life. House I'm in now, nah. Might be partly due to growing up in a family of 80% males and now being in a family of 20% males.

I do like the tale of Wow Jones on one of those post season exhibition trips in LA needing to take a slash one morning and choosing the wall of a convenient building, not realising it was one-way glass into the restaurant of some posh hotel.

No. But I must confess to ocassionally peeing in my backyard.

This is environmentally friendly. Supplies a bit of fluid to the lawn / plants and saves 3 litres of water every time you don't flush the toilet. Do that say 4 times a day, saves 12 litres, x 365 = 4380 litres per year.

I've currently got mobility problems and my toilet is upstairs. So I can't get to it in a hurry.

Couple that with the fact that I've recently had prostate removal surgery due to cancer, which means that for the foreseeable future I will have continence problems - especially since they may not have got it all so I could be looking at radiation treatment, which will further interfere with my internal plumbing system.

So believe me, my bucket is my friend. (Of course it helps that I live by myself).

My plastic urine bottle is my best friend, especially at night in the cold of winter. Best of luck with your treatment. I had TURP surgery four years ago. I feel your pain.
