The Dreamteam BF Club Championships fell apart a little bit last year due to a dropping off in work by a few of the captains (me most definitely included). However I'm sure it will be up and running once again this year and I'm most certainly willing to pass on the information necessary to whoever puts their hand up to be Demons captain in 2010 to allow them to facilitate the promotion/relegation from Divisions 1 and 2 last season. Also a strategy to incorporate those who weren't part of it last year will have to be put in place. I am still definitely a supporter of basing the leagues on performance rather than first come first served. Unfortunately I won't be able to join in this year as I can't fit it in as one of my three leagues anymore.

Then we can work out who is in division a and who should be in division b, because I am always sceptical of people saying that they were in the top 500 until I see it.

Wasn't in Supercoach last year. I'm happy in Div B.

Just make your team twice and make the same changes each week.

Ok I was ranked 31,100 overall in Dream Team and was in Division B last year. Thats seems quite a poor ranking. And my Supercoach ranking is 46,290 overall and once again I was in Division B.

definately. BS only joined in october and is already acting like he runs the place. saying who can go where i think BS can go to the B league and work his way up. Personally i think one of the longer time members should run the leagues. would be fairer i think

i made the thread to offer my services with running the leagues, i just wanna do my bit for the board. please stop your racial vilification of me because of my Croatian heritage.. it doesnt matter who is in what league, all that matters is that we have fun, and no one abandons their team (because that wreaks the comp, there should be no easy weeks).

No actually..

..it all goes back to when I was 17 years old. It was 1965 when I was in ‘Nam as a special forces combatant, my squad of 8 men was operating a reconnaissance mission near Ho Nung – right on the border with Cambodia. We landed by chopper with no resistance, waited for nightfall, and trekked 35 miles through dense jungle towards our objective. I was the youngest and most inexperienced of the squad, and it was my first front line mission. I was scared as hell.

We arrived just before sunrise and took up multiple positions around the bunker. We were relieved to find only a single sleeping guard so our commanding officer instructed we move by stealth into the POW confinement in search of our target.

When we found the incarceration unit that intelligence had led us to, we entered cautiously.. it was empty. We looked at each other and after only a brief moment of confusion we realised.. it was a trap! And at that moment the misty morning silence was broken by a mind-piercing explosion, followed by a plethora of machine gun fire. There was smoke, confusion, chaos was raining in and we had nowhere to move. My men were dropping like flies all around me, I hit the ground and was covered in blood. My men were gone. I was about to die.

The hail of gunfire subsided and I was able to see from my partially blinded left eye as the hostile platoon of Viet Cong marched off into the jungle. I must have lay unconscious for several days, weeks in fact.

As I woke to the touch of a beautiful Vietnamese girl my first thought was to disarm her and draw my weapon. But I could barely move – I was bandaged up and laying in a hammock style sling. I must have been found by this young lady and rescued. She had brought me back to her jungle hut and cared for me. She had saved my life. She gave me water and fed me rice as she tended to my wounds. She was so gentle, so caring. Ill never forget the smell of her hair or the warmth of her touch. She was like an angel sent from god.

After several weeks of love and care we both knew I was ready to make the lone trek back towards the border, I wanted to stay with her, more than anything in the world, but we both knew that it was too dangerous. We would be found by Viet Cong eventually, and the punishment for her treason would have been far worse than the death I would have faced.

I had to leave her to protect her. It broke my heart, and it still breaks my heart, but now I see her only in my dreams every night, and I long for her love every day.

I did SC for the first time ever last year. I finished with the most points in my league but didn't make it to the GF. The guy who actually finished 8th on percentage ended up winning the whole thing. Not sure what to think of it tbh...

Have Ablett from the beginning, have around $80-100k left when you set your initial team and don't burn the trades too early. And don't let your heart influence player selection.

Ausyid is the true gun of Dees supporters in DT - he has finished (I think) 17 and 16 overall in the last 2 years. Scariest part is, I think he is still at school.
