If we can turn one player from this draft into a long term player for us I'd be happy.

I still have some scars from the 2011 draft.
Just as well as we nailed Fasolo in 2010 because that too was poor.

Wat? Elliott was a massive hit, Hine had first crack at pick 50 on draft night yet still managed to find Marley in the rookie draft. Two 200 game players coming off a premiership year is a very good result.

Usually recruiting the best player available is the way it should work I reckon...

Not recruit someone cause of the colour of their skin. Treat everyone equally I say and get the best available.

Here is where we disagree my friend. Closing the gap overrides that IMO.

He certainly does. You need to consider it as whole with the trade period. Treloar, Aish and Howe are fantastic pickups. With our draft picks we bought in some good size, pace and hardness. Sier looks to have some quick hands out of contest. Phillips and Crocker look composed kicks. There is plenty to work with.

Now the search to find a crumbing forward...

So we shouldn't take the best player available at out pick... we should take the next best Indigenous player available instead??? What happens if a chinesse player is better than than pick... can we take him? Or does he have to be Indigenous?
