Melbourne currently has two AFL venues. The magnificent MCG and the marvellous Etihad Stadium.
Kardinia Park is an hour away down
the Geelong highway.
Princes Park is not up to AFL standard presently. It could possibly be brought up to scratch with the right investment. However, the influential locals don't like it and links to public transport are probably not presently sufficient.
Waverley Park has been a housing development since 2000. So clearly a no go.
Where should a new Melbourne stadium be placed?
Would we be better off building a regional VIC venue?
Do we need one at all?
