doesn't anybody else rate Gary Lyon a good reporter

i've only read the lsat 2 articles from Gary Lyon - one aobut West Coast and their beginnings, the other about the 3 sides who are 0/3 and when the panic button should be pressed.

Both articles were very good and well thuough out, is he normally this good, or is just a fluke he's put together 2 good articles in a row

From what i've read in those 2 articles i already give him 500 times the credit i ever gave Mike Sheehan.

Does anybody else rate him, or do you think he's a goose just like MS??

Lyon is one of the best and most profesional sports presenters going around. He has a natural easyness when a camera is placed in front of him, and it just seems he is doing what he is naturally good at. I respect Garry Lyon a great deal.

as long as you can put up with his Melbourne bias... in Melbourne we have two major state newspapers... the "Melbourne" Herald Sun and the "Richmond" Age... that is why you don't believe a word in either of them...

I certainly rate him - and think that a few other media pundits should take a 'captains' at his style. Interesting to see the good natured way in which he handled the Troy Wilson bagging on The Footy Show. One feels that a Caroline Wilson would have been neurotically indignant about the whole thing.

Yep, I agree Dan. I really like Gary Lyon - though he's made two clangers in the last few weeks - the one about Troy Wilson being a stupid WCE recruiting idea and telling everyone to put $1000 on Essendon last week to make the easiest $90 you'll ever make!!!

i don't think Gary Lyon's thoughts on Troy Wilson were that bad at the time.

I only found out about it last night on the footy show, but when i think back 2 or 3 weeks i couldn't work out why they would've recruited Troy Wilson.

But it's turned out to be a gamble thats paid of once.
