Must admit i was a little disappointed with the dogs in trade week. I was rapt we didn't let go picks number 3 & 6 as keeping these were an absolute priority. However i was hoping we would trade a couple of our players who i reckon have been stagnating for the past 2-3 years. I can't believe a side that has lost 37 out of the last 44 games doesn't trade atleast one player. For my mind i reckon Sam Power, Jordan McMahon & Ryan Hargreaves have all gone backwards.

J McMahon = highly skilled but quenstionable courage. Would be outstanding for the saints and the bombers as a reciever but with the dogs he is going to struggle as apart from S West no one else gets the hard ball.

S Power - was a number 9 pick in the draft. To be an outstanding AFL player you need to have one outstanding skill, ie pace, foot skills, marking. I'm just not sure what Sams special talent is. He isn't overly quick and not great overhead. Is a good kick but doesn't get it often enough to hurt the opposition.

R Hargreaves - has been unlucky as the morons running the show continue to play him on blokes much bigger and stronger. Has gone backwards this year and has also become quite undisciplined.

If we could have got a 1st round draft pick for either McMahon or Power or a 2nd round draft pick for Hargreaves i would have traded them in a heartbeat.

I know Rocket is coming and you can expect some improvement from a new coach but the bloke isn't a miracle worker. I believe the media ha played a part in out mediocrity. If i hear one more football commentator or journalist comment about the bulldogs fantastic young list i think i'll be sick. At the moment the Saints and the Cats have a great list, the dogs are a long way off what you would call a great list.

i would be quite happy from a bulldogs perspective. it would have been tempting to trade your first few picks but you stuck true. just like the eagles did in 2001 when the bombers offered misiti for pick 3 (judd). thankfully we told them to take a long walk off a short jetty.

your time will come.

Yeah well i was rapt also to hold on to 3 and 6 but letting go either power or mcmahon would be a mistake, Under eade i think power will get a full time job on that back flank and we will se more murphy in the midfield, he is a good runner and i doubt we would have got a first rounder for him, mcmahon will be a great wingman, some more weight is needed though but he will be a great player, it wouldnt of bothered me to let go hargraves but he could be a good fill in if just say harris is to be suspended again and no hargrave there isnt much to go there.

I was happy we didnt take part but wouldnt of minded a couple of trades just to add some new expirience, realisticly this is going to be a great side in the futre

Just not sure how one man (Peter Rhode) can bear the brunt of our last 2 years of mediocrity. Rhode did an ordinary job as coach but he can't be held responsible for guys missing goals from 20 metres out and blokes not putting their bodies on the line.

I am a massive doggies supporter and i was absolutely disgraced the way we handled trade week. We have been on the bottom end of the ladder for the past 4 seasons and we r just losing more members and more fans. We gotta get off our asses and do somehting about the way we are performing. We have been ttrying to rebuild a young side for the passed 3-4 years and surely thats enough time but we've only got worse. During trade week we were offered Nick David, Jason Saddington and another sydney midfielder for pick 6. Some might disagree but i believe its time we take those experienced players and quit usng it on young players because we r getting knowhere!
Please tell em what you guys think.

If the Doggies dont want them why would another club?
I am suprised that Brisbane were not interested in Power, to join his brother, would of been happy to trade shattock for power.

Personally, I'd be happy that they didn't get rid of these young guys. If Eade isn't trading these guys it means he's seeing something in them. I agree especially with Hargreaves, he's been played out of position but played in position could be valuable for you guys.

I would think that Eade will give them at least a year and if they don't progress the way he'd like them, off load them. But you would have to give them a year under his tutilidge.
