I think it was Jordan McMahon that I saw at the guerney presentation last year who was wearing the mirror shades, lots of hair gel, checking out the chicks.

Yeah, I nominate Jordaman as the movie star.

Dimma had a few very noticeable clangers, as did hargreave, but we need his impact.

Did anyone notice how robbos immediate opponent went? I thought he did pretty well, 22 possies and all, admitedly on a day that was made for the backline because our midifled pressure was so intense.

thought we looked very dangerous everytime the ball hit the deck up forward. every thrust was a bit chance.

Thought Dimma's contribution was very good after the first 10 minutes when he came on.

Noticed in the paper he was equal best in the tackling department which is a great sign (3 players with 5 tackles).

The physical presence of not just Dimma but the whole team (even Eagleton!!! how good was he!!!!) was just fantastic.

It was a bit weird actually. What, did Eagleton just wake up on Sunday morning and scream "ITS A MIRACLE, I CAN TAKE A MARK IN FRONT OF ME!!! HALLALUHYAH!!!" It was all very un-eagleton like and it made me feel funny.

Next week Harrison will sweeping the pill off the deck one handed, turning on a dime and firing a handpass in the blink of an eye...

I think the day was fairly well summed up by The Bald Eagle's goal. He worked hard to get to the fall of the ball, used pure strength to push away his Geelong opponent, baulked through heavy traffic and slotted it straight through the big ones.

Every time Eagleton went near the footy yesterday I was amazed and forced to eat my words. Marks, kicks, handballs, tackles, shepherds and didn't get caught out once! Lets hope he can keep it up

Hahn / Dimma combined well through the middle as the bustling type midfielders. Each goes about it a little differently but both were effective and bagged a couple of goals between them - provided plenty of physicality in the middle and did all that anyone could expect of them.

Bandy's game was a bit like his last season IMO, started off very good, waivered a tad but still was very effective. Harrison did well as the dummy CHF, provided plenty of options and got plenty of the footy. Bassett and Kretiuk were rock solid all day, Shaggy was handy although a bit wasteful (he basically gave the Cats 2 goals on a platter)

I was impressed with the tenacity at the footy and the hard running off HB into the forward line - Perhaps next week Wiggo will be given more of a go at FF, allowing Browny to play more as a crumbing forward and take a bit of pressure of him in the marking contests.

Felt very sorry for Chris Grant, huge blow for us but one which we can recover from - hopefuly Crofty, Kritters, Bassett et al can stay on the park most of the year and perhaps Harris / Skipper can step up. Hopefully.
