Dogs don't kill 100 million + chickens a year though do they. That's what cats do when they run loose.

And they do run loose, the amount of cats roaming free in the neighbourhood is a vastly greater sum than of dog roaming free.

The moral of the story is cats are far more destructive than dogs when allowed to roam.




When did a cat owner ever pick up its cat shit when it shit in someones yard or kids play area? Never is the answer.





They cause less damage to the environment than cats and serve a greater purpose in the community to go with it.

Cat owners are by far outweigh dog owners for the amount of inconsiderate and irresponsible moron owners.

Nice idea. didn't involve a bullet and some ferocious dogs.

Currrently don't have a dog as spend a lot of time away from home so not fair on the dog and it's illegal to discharge a firearm in an urban area, so had to come up with another idea.

There is no doubt that dogs easily cause the most nuisance in residential areas out of any animal.

Noise pollution from constant incessant barking. Many ignorant dog owners say "Oh my little Rover is well trained and rarely barks unnecessarily!" Maybe they don't realise but as soon as soon as they leave the house for the day the thing gets bored when alone and will bark non stop for hours. At night time this will generally start a chain reaction with the other local canines and get half the neighbourhood going..

This comes down to a lack of training, especially at night time there is no excuse to let your dog bark this is not the dogs fault.

Dogs attacking or biting people is disturbingly common, either within their own family setting or simply strangers on the street. Very, very dangerous especially if the animal is large with small children. Who here can say that they have never been bitten by say a friend's family dog as a kid? I've even seen a mate cop a nasty bite minding his own business simply walking past someone's dog that was even on its lead.

I've never been bitten by a dog as a kid or an adult, never know anyone who was bitten by a dog either. Maybe i'm just lucky and everyone I know trains their dog properly. Again this is caused by bad owners and isn't the dogs fault

Even worse the amount of times you see dogs running loose or roaming free.. Some will say "I've always have an escape proof fence and our dogs have never ever got out!" I'd say that the majority of people that claim this are simply liars, dogs are clever at finding ways to get out, even responsible owners will at some stage have had someone leave a gate open or something and had Rover on a prison run. Nothing worse than to wake up and find your entire flock of pet chickens that you've been breeding for years mindlessly slaughtered by some douchebag's mutt that's got into your yard.

Bad owners again, still not the dogs fault. Also it is a lot easier for a cat to get out than a dog

Shitting on the pavement or parks and ovals, take the school across the road the the gardener told us he has the usually pick up about 5 turds every morning so that kids can actually play on the oval without stepping in it. Sure there may be a fine against not picking it up but dog owners know that they probably have more chance of winning lotto than getting caught for this so 95% of owners just leave it there.

I really like them as animals but they cause a lot of problems, unfortunately so many inconsiderate and irresponsible morons seem to own them.

Again owners fault, nothing you have posted makes dogs worse than cats and like others have said a bad pet owner is bad no matter what animal they own.

My neighbourhood has plenty of dogs, never really hear barking unless it's from 1 particularly bad dog that's the neighbours.

Never heard anyone be bitten, domesticated and even just decently trained dogs, will not bite. People probably misconstrue an excited dog that wants to sniff and lick you as biting.

And only ever seen a dog roam free once.

The number of cat owners who think it's fine for their cat to wander around, killing all kinds of things is incredible.

So many tell themselves it's any cat except there's doing the killing of troubled species.

There's many shit dog owners, but they at least have the comparative grace to not drag down native species with their irresponsibility.

Even as a cat lover it's hard to feel too much sympathy for them if they jump into a dog's yard (actually that's badly worded, I feel for the cats but not for their owners who didn't look after them properly).
