According to analysts this game is our contested ball and more inside 50's V their run and gun from the backline. I guess this means our one wood of driving the ball inside could also be our Achillies Heel. If we are sloppy with our forward 50 entries and do not put enough pressure on their defenders, they are going to get us on the rebound. It is how they belted Sydney in the second half, and I think it is why Bevo has gone with this team. A fit motivated Arty with his close down speed would have been handy but too much of a risk with only one game back.


To grab above the average contested marks would be handy. Sam, I think he gets Taylor probably the best aerial defender in the comp if he can win that battle I think we win for sure. Astro gets Aleer who has a great vertical leap but may lack some smarts down back similar to Buku so hoping Astro continues his good form.

When the ball hits the ground it up to Westy, McNeill and VDM if either are not sub to apply the pressure and prevent as much rebound as possible.

I couldn't be less nervous about this one. It's not that I don't care, I just have no expectations for the rest of this year. Playing finals would be a bonus but I certainly don't expect it. Just hoping for a few hours of entertainment tonight while I enjoy my steak sandwich and red rock deli chips for supper.
