Interesting perspective. Maybe it looks very different where you are to what we're seeing on TV.

I'm seeing a side that is playing on sublime skill but not so much on hard work and footy basics. We only stayed in/got back in on the back of those who are working hard in the contest like Libba, VDM and Hynes and perhaps Richards and Kennedy. West up forward.

We are not going to win finals by blitzing top 8 sides in a run and gun fashion. We have to come out and play thoughtful football, tackle hard, chase hard, earn and protect our possessions. Not assume we have a Dog-given right to have constant possession and kick goals.

In one sense it's good that North are putting it to us, but I somehow doubt we're going to change our style much between now and September. At this rate I can see us having another early finals exit unless we develop a harder edge.

We may not be going deep anyway tbh. Simply because our defence is too poor in terms of scoring shots per inside 50. If we play the Cats, Crows, we will need to keep them to 80 points which we have shown we are unable to do all year vs good teams. Even the Swans and North have found it too easy at times.

I will enjoy the ride. But it will require a 2016 like performance for 4 weeks, where the whole team defensively play out of their skins.

As for this game. I was confident we will open it up late. I don't understand the constant melts on here in a first half of footy when we are still winning. You'd think we are getting smashed.
