Hey fellas...hope you dont mind me intruding on your board, but I went today and thought id give you a bit of a review on how your boys played.
You looked very good. Especially across the midfield. Your midfield was extremely strong and easily defeated ours (altho ours was undermanned). You always had 3-4 small guys seemingly at every contest and pretty much every time easily ran away with the ball. You looked very confident. Brown domianted up forward - mainly against Kane Cornes. It shows, if anything, that Kane Cornes is not the sort of player to play as the main small defender as Brown was regularly 2-3 metres ahead of him on the lead.
Ill give a bit of a player review...not sure how accurate it is as i wasnt overly concentrating on the bulldogs players that much.
Alvey - did some nice things and had a reasonable amount of the ball
Bandy - played ok in the ruck and reasonable up forward
Bassett - spent time on the bench, but played in defence mainly when on the ground. Did ok, altho the ball didnt reach him very often
Birss - a very impressive first half
Bowden - spent the majority of the match on the bench
Brown - 7 goals. He kicked 5 on Cornes in the first half....went out of the game, and popped up for 2 goals in a minute late in the last quarter.
Darcy - played very well in the ruck.
Dimattina - looked alright. Got a fair bit of the ball
Eagleton - had heaps of the ball...gave it up a lot, kicked a magical poster. Same old eago really.
Faulkner - looked impressive. Seems to know what hes doing. Had all up about 25 minutes on the ground
Grant - dominated at half back
Harris - big lad. spent some time in defence.
Johnson - one of the dogs best i thought. probably 2nd behind brown
Murphy - played a very good defensive game
Smith - had his usual controlling the play type game backwards of centre. Ran forward a few times and had a few shots on goal
Wiggins - had a few nice marks but kicks awfully. Had about 3 or 4 shots from about 35-40m out and each kick was a shocking helicopter wobbly thing that went about 25 metres.
