You're either a dog person or you're not. No middle ground really.

I am definitely a dog person and myself have a 60kg Mastiff. He stays inside when we're home but if we're out he goes out. We never let him off a leash when walking him, with a dog that size all it needs is one little nibble and he would've killed a Jack Russell. I hate seeing people without Dogs on the leash because if something happens they'll be the first to jump up and down.

The problem I find with little Dogs is that they are never trained properly because of their size. They get away with being little shits and their owners do **** all because they're not causing immediate trouble, hence the shit behavior down the track. If my big dog acted like a Chihuahua or a Jack Russell he would've destroyed the house already.

Whenever we have visitors all my dog wants is pats and attention, and he has a visible smile sometimes if he's really happy. Anyone who doesn't get a bit of joy from that isn't someone I'm likely to get along with.

Spun out!
Been looking at breeds for a while now and Boston's have won us over

Let me know if you have any questions on them. Low maintenance dog. Small but still a terrier so not a lapdog at all. Lots of energy to have fun outdoors but nothing too demanding. Very easy to take care of grooming and good temperament.

Saying "I don't like dogs" is like saying "I don't like humans".

It's ridiculous. There are god ones and bad ones. A lot has to do with their owners raising the dog as well.

I've met 2 dogs I didn't like as well, OP. Poorly trained pets are a reflection of the owner, not the animal itself.

Bit of a generalisation really. Then again, that shouldn't surprise me.

On the topic of our canine friends, when did 'doggo' and 'pupper' become acceptable to use? Up there with 'misso' as the shittest term going around lately.
I haven't heard 'doggo' or 'pupper'. Or even 'misso' to be honest. But it reminds me of the vomited inducing 'wifey' I've heard a few times.

I have been friends and soul mates with a lot of dogs.

I have loved them all because they were my best mates as dogs are.

But one moment I regret in my life is how our dog Pepper died, I never put a dog down, I do not want to be put down, but she was dying in her last breath and me and my ex wife were arguing as she died.

This beautiful dog soul died, the dog who sat under my son's crib after he was born and protected him the most beautiful dog in the world, died as me and my ex wife were arguing

I will always love Pepper.

She was a great soul.
