The same issue Geelong has with their older players in Mooney, Scarlett and Milburn. Saints with the Riewoldt's dodgey knee and the Hawks have lost a few of their premiership players including Croad, Dew and Crawford - big outs.
At the end of the day, a bit of luck is needed to get a team across the line - something that is never associated with the bulldogs.![]()
I don't disagree at all - luck, especially with injuries, always plays a big part in which team can get over the line in September.
I agree about Geelong and their older players, although I think that the only one of those three we couldn't cover significantly is Scarlett. The trouble is, the older they get, the more chance they have of getting injured (in general), so the premiership window closes more each year
