I was recruited by the Doggies in 1984 from North Adelaide and played the first round on the back flank against Richmond before returning to South Australia the very next week due to an administrative bungle! I never again played VFL footy. Who am I?

This one will test you!!
 
The guys name was Jon Riley. I saw that game Beasley kicked 11 and it was Malthouse's first game as coach.

Yes, Beaza kicked a lot of his goals that day on a guy called Stephen Pirrie, in what I think was his last game for the Tiges. Poor bloke ended up at St. Kilda later in the year, and if you remember anything about the Saints during that particular era, you'll know that it wasn't an advancement in his career!

Stephen Pirrie also had a short stint with us....1 game in 1985. Another piece of trivia for ya.

I can still remember him chasing a Richmond player in front of the members , for every yard he ran he got 2 yards behind .Wore number 26.
