For those who have lambasted him for his ego over the years, the humility of Fyfe was palpable. Enjoyed his honest reflections from the last 5 years. He did not shy away from the mental toil he felt during this time and the added pressure of captaincy.

For me, however, the highlight was Pearce. Just such an accomplished speaker. No wonder he gets the captaincy votes each year.

I know it's silly to worry about hypotheticals but I genuinely believe that a Fyfe without injury becomes the greatest of all time, could have easily had 3 Brownlow Medals in that world.

But I'm grateful to have been there to see him his whole career, even more grateful I was there to watch him walk off the field albeit after a heartbreaking end to the season.

Go well Nathan, I hope you stick around and continue to help the club however you can if you choose to, thank you for the years of entertainment you provided us with.
