I think once they have a specific run with role then they start polling very highly. I remember it with Logue in 2022. Wasn’t top 10 as a defender and ended up finishing 6th after he got swung forward.

Chappy I have no explanation for.

Chappy had those exact run with roles you just mentioned, shutting down the oppo’s best forward polls better than having 20 touches as a backman, I’m surprised you don’t see it with him.

Apart from Clark finishing too low it's hard to disagree with any of it really. Frederick plays his role with discipline, which is why he finished where he did. If you don't like that he looks like a clueless klutz running away from where the ball is half the game, it's the role not the player doing it

Yep, the role is an issue. Yes he kicks goals but you’d think just a little more aggression and rundowns and he would be a more complete player.

Number one thing coaches looking at are " Did you perform the role i asked you to do"

We will rarely know what that role is assigned as.

So i rate club awards much higher than Bronwlows. and certianyl much higher than Fans thoughts .
