Toast Dom Sheed Retires

Besides the grand final goal, probably my all time Sheed moment was in 2021 against Collingwood when he kicked 3 goals in the last 2minutes of the 3rd qtr to put the game beyond doubt. He bloody loved playing the pies.

Also kicks a similar goal early 2019 v the Pies (8:15). Collingwood fans booing him to remind us all of what had occurred every time he played them post 2018 was always incredibly funny.

Was at that game and it was one of the best live game experiences I’ve had. Except for a come from behind win against Carlton in 2006 or 2007

Was only a matter of time.
Imagine if he wasn't involved in that goal chain and didn't have that kick, then still had same career, injuries and had to retire now - he wouldn't be half as satisfied and happy as he is now, neither would we of course.
So it was a great prize for a shortened career and wish him all the best for the future.
Sad that Gaff, Nicnat and Shepard didn't get their jollies, footy can be a cruel mistress.
But The Dom has gone down in footy/GF history, not bad to hang your hat on!
