Yeah we've got lots of hard runners and they are an upgrade on the Bail, M Jones etc era, but we are carrying at least 2 too many guys who's skills aren't up to it. We also need to stop playing 2 slow blokes in the backline.

I don't mind the blokes we have. Reckon Harmes and ANB atleast have shown with another 50 games they will be reasonable players. It really kills us having 2 slow blokes in defence though, as soon as we lose a clearance or commit too far forward we inevitably get scored against. The slow blokes leave us with no room for error and with the amount of time and space Vince and Lewis have back there with us pressed forward I don't see why any half competent kick like Salem couldn't do the same job.

As an aside Salem needs to play forward more. That snap from 45 is something hardly any of our blokes can do.

Was pretty hard not to think of this thread when he got done HTB early on.

I'm not a big fan of chopping and changing players from week to week, so I'd give another game. But if he plays badly again next week, that could be all she wrote.

Was probably worried about having a dominating game, leading the Dees to a win and putting all his future employers / teammates' noses out of joint.

It wasn't just his confidence that was down though, it was his whole output. Only 16 disposals and most damning only 3 clearances.

His only role is to win the hard ball but he barely did any of that. In fact we dominated the contested ball but he barely contributed to it. He might find form against crap opposition the next few weeks but it won't tell us much about his ability to contribute against a quality team.

Considering he wasn't injured, was prolific at VFL level last week and is relatively experienced I don't buy the excuse of needing a few weeks to find form. Needed to translate it from VFL to AFL this week.

He tallied 11 Brownlow votes in his first year with us (when we only won 4 games) and looked like a star in the making, and has somehow gotten worse with every season since. Had an amazing finish to 2016 but nothing good since.

Trade please, originally I said it is ok to keep him for depth but he is just too ineffectual and can't play his best role (As the first or second best mid) with us. Take an early 3rd rounder and run.

He isn't good enough to play 4th or 5th banana, he'd be much better if he was rated higher in the rotation. That is literally why his best footy was 2014-2016 and he has gotten worse as Oliver and co. have gotten better.

Who wants Tyson delisted? Pretty clear he is a depth player nowadays and the trade talk is valid even if he doesn't leave.
