Look mate, if you believe that making up the numbers consistently without threatening for a premiership is acceptable for a club of our size then nothing I can say to you is there.

No slack for the new coach coming in after the death of our previous coach? Or are you a we should be winning premierships every year chuck the toys out of the cot if we dont sort of guy?

Honestly gutting the place isn't the worst idea, it's better than stalling in mediocrity.

Either we shot for a premiership NOW or we accept it's not going to happen and trade aggressively for picks. No point wallowing in 5-8 for another decade.

God you post crap. Gutting the place will send us backwards. We need to clear out the bottom players, we all know their names, and put in the younger players with potential in the SANFL ranks. Gutting the place is what Port need to do. You know who Port are? That team who haven't even made it to the finals the last two years.

Did you read my posts in the thread? I WANT us to load up and take a shot at a premiership next year and the year after.

All I said is that if we the coaches don't think we can win a premiership in that time we should do a rebuild.

Basically I'm advocating that we go one extreme or the other rather than float in the middle ground.

So here you're saying shoot for a premiership now but in another post you're saying we need to gut the place. Righto.

No, I never said we need to gut the place.. seriously all you're doing is proving you only read the first sentence I post. Here's a hint, go back to the post you're talking about and actually read the second line.

I'll help you out

You can play with words all you like....

You can't just cut 1/4 of a sentence to pretend I said something I didn't.

Gutting the place ISNT the worst idea, it's also not the best.

In order our options from best to worst:

1)load up for a premiership
2)rebuild
3)Just continue on as we are atm.

Pyke has 4 years as an assistant in the AFL system, 2 of which were his first 2 and under Neil Craig. To suggest he hasn't embraced some philosophies if Craig is idiotic. Selection and game day haven't resulted in Pyke providing a point of difference yet. He stated that, "you back in players who have done good things for the club over a long period of time". That's very Neil Craig and the selection change he was referring to ended up being VB for the GC game.

You'd have to be an idiot or extremely delusional to not accept the current similarities between the 2 coaches. But, it's his first year and he's dealing with assistants ingrained into our culture. His opportunity to set himself apart was limited in season one, it increases over this off-season and then again throughout next year.
See it feels like you were trying to undermine my point by painting me as an idiot, but your last couple of sentences echo my point, so now I'm confused.

The similarities are there only if you look for them. He has also worked under Adam Simpson. Similarities can be drawn there too if you want to look.

Didn't answer the question. Are you in the inner sanctum at the Crows?

So much crap on here.

Pyke is Neil Craig #2
Its Nobles fault
Its Campos fault
Noble tells Pyke how to coach
Gut the place
Selection policies prove Pyke cant coach

Seriously, we think the Port board are funny after they lose. Some on this board have had a dummy spit, chucked the toys out of the cot and made some really stupid statements. Analyse and demand answers and change in areas you know about. But stop talking crap about behind the scenes stuff when its clear you dont know its just an assumption. If I had a dollar for everytime Noble gets blamed for something that wasnt his job id be rich.

He's so bad at his job the AFL have hand picked him to be the General Manager in Brisbane and then take over the CEO's job in 3 years time.

I posted everything you said, I just bolder the part where you said you'd be happy to gut the place. You change your argument every post.

He needs more than one year to make an assessment. People we were predicted to finish around 12th by nearly every pundit before the season started. To finish where we did is a credit to him and the team.

If you look at our draw, we were always winning 14 games. 10 at home and the gc's ,melboune, rich and carltons of the world.

We picked up two wins in Perth. One in our control , one not (freo).

The two wins we were denied against Hawthorn and Footscray. How do we view them?

No you think you know the answer

I've shared my connections with some long trusted posters

I'm not going to share on a open forum or with blow-ins

see this sort of crap should be reportable. Unless you are going to share those connections to back up your posts then refrain from posting that information. because naturally everyone will call you on it.
